No they would not.
If one son's life is in danger for another, Whitebeard would rethink
That's why he didn't go and take revenge for Oden because lives of his current crew would be in jeapordy.

Imagine if Whitebeard has to save Marco from Kaido and then suddenly Ace is arrested too..he'd also think and then act.

Straw hat had war with Kaido on their ass and now Sanji brought Big Mom debacle and that's why he wanted Luffy to just think.

Only thing that is a minor reach here is S-Hawk/Zoro and Whitebeard/Oden and I said that because it is all happening in this arc.

Scars on the Back
Endurance Freaks
Drunk
Bandana
Sacrificial Nature
World's Strongest Title
Shanks/Mihawk/Roger/Whitebeard
Both Having Demonstrative Personality
Sleeping CoO with Kaku
That face

All these are not reaches lmao.

They personalities are nearly identical
Rayleigh is far more like Shanks than he is like Zoro.

And yes it is Luffy insecurity if you read my entire post and say everything I said is reaching.
Who else besides Zoro/Whitebeard are given Scars on the back moments?
Bandanas are a traditional Pirate motif.

There are three types of characters. Durability freaks, speed freaks, and Endurance freaks. Rarely you find some that are a combination of the three. The options are limited here.

Excessive drinking is another Pirate motif. Plenty of characters do this.

Zoro seeks strength for the sole purpose of gaining a WS title. Whitebeard gained a WS title because he sought to have and protect a family and he needed strength to do it. The title Zoro wants isn't even the one Whitebeard held.

Shanks/Mihawk and Roger/Whitebeard were pirate rivals. Luffy/Zoro are Captain and Subordinate, like Roger/Rayleigh Whitebeard/Oden. Rayleigh and Oden shared a distinct bond with thier Captains, like Luffy and Zoro do.

All the Straw Hats have made that face.

Emphasis on scars on the back are unique to Zoro and Whitebeard, but never running from a fight, which is the implications behind it, are not.

One of Zoros biggest character traits is sleeping. He stayed back to protect the Sunny, and Oda had him doing one thing he loves to do when he has free time.

Hell, one can even argue the scene was a minor callback to Mihawks introduction where he annihilated the Krieg Pirates for disturbing his nap. Which fits much better.

Oda likes to use specific Storytelling elements for his different characters. Whitebeard and Zoro are meant to be badasses, so there being minor similarities in the way they are treated makes sense.

But when I think of parallels meant to be shared between two characters I'm thinking Rayleigh immediately flashing back to Roger during Sabaody when Luffy blew up on Usopp, or an image of Ryuma appearing who looks exactly like Zoro on Wano.

You know things like Ryuma was the Sword God, and Zoro wanting his name to reach the heavens as the World's Strongest Swordsmen.

When I see things like "they both wear bandanas." That's no different to me than "X character is related to Y character because they both have blonde hair."

Lmao Stop your Coping. We never even seen that Mihawk sleeping shit. They just guessed thats the reason. Mihawk said he did it because he was bored not because they disturbed his Nap. Stop making shit up. So that Parallel is with WB

Mihawk and Shanks are Rivals that Luffy/Zoro still needs to surpass them. Luffy giving his hat back and Zoro defeating Mihawk. Zoro has Parallel and Similarities with alot of Top CoC users/top tiers. WB,Ryuma,Mihawk, Rayleigh, Kaido. Even with Kaido Oda said Zoro would get the same fruit has Kaido most likely because they both Strength base. We know how Oda thinks about how a DF helps define a character like Luffy joyboy fruit.

Zoro also Similar and have so many Parallel to the best future guy Luffy. They basically have the same mentality about alot of things. They have the same concept of heros, Both was going to body a Celestial not giving a damn about the consequences, When they waked up in Onigashima both asked for favorite thing to eat/Drink, both said determination for their dream and die trying. Etc.... alot more but i would have to go find them

Who cares if we never "saw" it.... It was still something that was stated that could have been a possibility. It didn't have to actually happen, Lmao.....

Someone makes a comment Mihawk might have got annoyed and did "X" because he was probably disturbed from his nap...

Zoro goes on and does "X" because he was disturbed from his nap...

That's what a callback is.

Bro are you slow?

Mihawk literally tells you the reason. He never said noting about Disturbing his nap. Stop making shit up. The only person we seen do that is WB.

That someone is creditless. Tf he was wrong Mihawk said he did it because he was bored Go reread clown

No the callback os to WB who actually did it.

This sounds like a load of cope

You better not tell me Luffys parallel is Roger..I will do worse than this

Zoro is whitebeard of this era aka strongest guy and no amount of insecurity from Luffy fans gonna change that

It doesn't fucking matter what the actual reasoning was. The point of Oda throwing it in there, is that, that is the type of character Mihawk is. One who would wipe out an entire Pirate Fleet over something so trivial as disturbing his nap. And then we find out the actual reason was just as trivial.

And when Zoro wakes up, his words are, and I QUOTE.... "Who dares disturb my nap."

Literally a callback to a fodder thinking Mihawk would get pissed over something so trivial as his nap being disturbed.

Better than Zoro insecurities of needing to force a parallel with Zoro and Whitebeard.

What's next, Zoro and Shiki? Both Swordsmen. Zoro tried to cut his legs off. Shiki cut his legs off? Omg GODA is at it again!

How can Zoro be Shikis parallel

They have only one similarity

Zoro and Whitebeard objectively are more of a parallel than Luffy and Roger

Like that's not even debatable

Only thing Luffy and Roger share is that they wear a straw hat and guess what I can order one at Amazon too..doesn't make me a parallel

Am I doing this right jealous Luffy stan?

I think that parallels in One Piece are broadly overstated. So I wouldn‘t say Zoro is a Whitebeard parallel.

What I do agree with is that Whitebeard and Zoro have very strong similarities in personality. If you want to call that a parallel, go ahead. But I don’t think Oda is deliberately doing it.

What I think is that Oda, when writing both characters, wants them to epitomise traits that he thinks of as manly. So they share a lot of those traits.
Pretty much this

At least half a dozen characters remarked on the striking similarities between Luffy and Roger....

Not a single so has so much as mentioned Zoro and Whitebeard in the same breath....

But hey.... They both wear bandanas....

So personality wise, yep, Zoro is closer to Whitebeard than he is to any of the other top tiers. (Although we might find out that a younger Mihawk who was still fighting to be WSS was far more like Zoro than the more mature present day one)

The Whitebeard wouldn’t have left Sanji argument is idiotic as well.

Whitebeard took an absolute hissy fit when Oden left him.

Zoro was pissed off at Sanji deciding to leave them. At that stage, they knew nothing about the potential consequences for Sanji not doing that (Head in the box). It was just Capone showed up, told Sanji he was getting married and didn’t have a choice, and then Vito whispered something to him and he went along with it. Nami said he could have escaped if he wanted to, Sanji had said he’d be back later. That’s why Zoro got angry at this happening when they were already on an unstoppable collision course with Kaido.

However, Zoro then waited outside the room where Pekoms explained things further, heard about what had happened and then was, as Luffy could tell, quite worried. He gave a brief huffy let the idiot go statement, but didn’t cause any further fuss. All he said about it was watch out that Sanji wasn’t being a moron and loving the idea of being married. We’ve seen from the Usopp situation that if he’d still felt strongly about it, he would have made a stand.

One could even argue that acting childishly in the face of a perceived rejection is another similarity between the two.

At least this is a reasonable post and not verbal diaharrea from Luffy fans like @Celestial D. Dragon and @Albino 👑

You have to been only fed shit and toilet water your entire life to deny zoro and Whitebeard being similar. That's like literal definition of being delusional
