sword is one of the 24 superior blades , so the metal of that blade was better then normal metal of mr 1 reason it cut him. Then in thriller bark got a black blade as gift from ryuuma himself, unlike skilled swordmen that have to make their swords black on their own. That sword was so strong it carried him up until wano, has ryuumas haki, and was only reason he beat pica and monet. Then he got enma, that is strongest sword forged by hitetsu and oden blade that even WSC had PTSD from it , odens haki and even has flashbacks.

The only time we saw the true skill was when he got owned by enel, yeti cool brothers, mihawk.

His fight with killer showed zolos entire nature, with 2 swords he had a double ko match with tortured komazo without his main weapons.
Zolos himself said that the fact that he is missing 1 sword made this situation dangerous.
