"What will you do when you stand up there, and you look him right in the face. And you look at those eyes, and those eyes look back at you.

And those eyes say

I'm the one that died for you
I'm the one that gave my life for you
I'm the one that went to the cross for you to get you saved

And you wouldn't listen. And that finger goes right in your face and says "Depart from me you cursed into everlasting fire

I haven’t read that much of it, I would probably go with the safe answer and go with John 3:16

BTW I also love this verse

1 John 5:13

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

.

It tells you that if you believe on the name of the Son of God, then you have eternal life, you know you're going to heaven
Hypothetical: how would 14th century Christian armies have fared against Timur's ravaging sassenachs?

I'm no miltary historian lol, but it's interesting to speculate on how different tactis and armies would have clashed here. Timur's military record is there for all to see though.

Tamerlane was actually pretty reasonable if you just negotiated with him according to folk tradition here

@God Buggy I'm certainly not an expert military historian either but I don't particularly see much reason why Timur's armies wouldn't defeat contemporary Christian armies. Superior cavalry overall, superior mobility and not much if any technology difference. Timur's forces handily defeated the same Ottomans who had at the time brought Christendom to its knees.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

2 Corinthians 5:17
I just watched the slam dunk movie. Why did they make it from Ryota Pov FFS. The mother- son relationship is so distant and just didn't work out at all

Graeber's "The Dawn of Everything" is a book one should definitely consider going through during their lifetime. A monumental work, really.
