The thing about the "Luffy putting someone else in danger" debate is tied to the lack of progression of characters.
Doesn't matter how strong the enemies are, or how dangerous is the situation, Luffy is STILL the "i'm gonna kick the baddie's ass and save the my nakamas" character he always were. You would THINK Sabaody would change that, but no. Same thing.
Who cares if Nami is in danger? She went along on a dangerous rescue op. and they have the goal to save sanji. So it's this single-minded thing of only caring about a particular objective. The characters dont mature at all, why should the plot? Why should the risks be more than they always have been?
And people here still think I'm dumb for "complaining about lack of progression". These kinda problems become more and more evident as time goes on.
