The thing is.
With all the non-W's he collected (Vergo, Doflamingo, didnt have a single 1v1 against the more threatening enemies in WCI), no sign of developing CoA beyond the basic, it would be a tough pill to swallow for him to suddenly beat a YC for example.
Oda gave him the suit to compensate for this gap he let the character sink in.
And immediately sends him into another Kalifa gag situation.

WCI was a great arc overall don't get me wrong but that was my biggest gripe with it. Instead of having Luffy facing practically all the YC of BM Oda could have given Sanji one of them to face 1 on 1.
So your telling me zoro isn’t gonna 2 v 1 kaido until luffy gets up??????
In all seriousness zoro fans should have learned to wait till Thursday spoilers which actually give context and don’t just wank their favrotire character.
At this point the scabbards already cut kaido probably moreso then zoro so I don’t think it should be hyped up like some are trying to make it.
Also there’s no proof from this chapter zoro is equal to luffy.

I was just thinking how fucking scared the marines must be about Luffy.
They could eventually now that Luffy is Rayleigh's friend, the same way that Zoro is in good terms with Mihawk. Luffy is also the self proclaimed brother of Sabo, whose boss is also his father and the most wanted man in the world. Then all this wano and Rox bm-kaido alliance is supressed by Luffy, but later they find out that Shanks wants to meet Luffy and it turns out that they are in good terms too.
Motherfucker is friends with everyone in the world, and always manages to build and army out of nowhere when he needs it.

I deny that the fracture consitutes a true loss (Sanji is always breaking bones and continued to clash and dodge fine afterwards, Vergo lost his goal of killing the marines while Sanji achieved his goal)
I claim that the explosions that Nami tanked using Sanjis body (that he subsequently noticed and commented about the damage) did nerf his durability somewhat.

Giving him a 1v1 in WCI was NOT mandatory.
But couldn't Page One get Knocked Out at least to hype the powerup a little bit better?
Not taking him out completely and him not appearing in the Raid, but you know, doing some more damage to show he can go against an ancient zoan durability?
I'm waiting for the Sanji vs Calamity matchup, but it will take a little bit of convincing that he suddenly can outdamage their durability or else it will feel a little cheap.
