Giving him a 1v1 in WCI was NOT mandatory.
But couldn't Page One get Knocked Out at least to hype the powerup a little bit better?
Not taking him out completely and him not appearing in the Raid, but you know, doing some more damage to show he can go against an ancient zoan durability?
I'm waiting for the Sanji vs Calamity matchup, but it will take a little bit of convincing that he suddenly can outdamage their durability or else it will feel a little cheap.

If it has Oden’s presence then it has his Haki that’s the only explanation and of course it does it’s able to overpower Zorro’s Haki anytime it wants. Presence is Haki unless you can brng to us a power system in One Piece that allows to sense presence or for a sword to have the presence of a user if it’s not Haki. It has th represent if a whole other swordsman in it dude is carried.
It's never good to have a short term vision, what happens in a chapter doesn't define everything that will happen after that. Zoro looking better than Luffy in this chapter doesn't mean it will stay that way in the following ones, especially when we know for a fact Luffy got a power up he barely used. It's like Vegeta fans always expecting him to surpass Goku when he briefly outshines him only for reality to come back and bite them in the ass.

@Cinera Also, he said so himself last chapter, that those novas were backing up their words, and Big mom specified that they've underestimated them as a whole. Now with the novas getting up from BMs indra attack, Law's countershock, Killer and Kidd, Zoro countering BM's attack again, getting hit by Luffy's Kong gattling and then by Zoro again.
Thats what made him go into Hybrid.
Not Zoro alone.
I'm all for Woro wank, but this aint it chief.
Zoro will be able to deal massive damage to Dragon form once he's reached Odens level, not before.
So ISDS right now (with unperfected enma) would deal good damage, but wouldn't ''fuck him up'' as you're saying. Since his Santoryu attack this chapter which is > Whatever he used last chapter, dealt some damage but not too much.
Thats what made him go into Hybrid.
