Well, that's not 100% clear clean-cut proof that Kaido rates him already on their level ( Shadows behind Luffy ). It would be even dumb if it took only one Red Roc to make Kaido reconsider his opinion. I think what Kaido meant at that moment is if Luffy can follow up his statements and actions during this battle and prove that he can be there with the Shadows of the Pirates Kaido consider's Great.

but when Grandmaster wanted to send Kaido to the grave he got warned by his big sister to dodge and he did while shivering and panting

Shishisonson is a quick finisher with the most penetrating power, great for humanoid opponents with mediocre reflexes.
Asura is a happy medium, not as powerful as ISDS and not as fast as Shishisonson.
