It did Damage, Sure. Was it impressive, Did it do anything spectacular? No and No.
The one and only time it did it's job, was when it was used as a finisher to Kaku, a worn out combatant, who IMO had not really a change of heart but something like that. Kaku was told by Zoro that Paulie said that "they were all Fired." he seemed resigned to that. But that's off topic.

A kicker and a puncher can be compared but both combined look pale compared to a swordsman.
Asura will forever be far above whatever those two can come up with. It's not comparable.
EoS Luffy/Sanji will not have anything above Zoro's Enies Lobby power-up.

It isn't Zoro's g4 equivalent. It was below g2 and g3, it won't be g4 post ts.

G2 and g3 > Ashura > DJ
G4 > G2/3
G4 > Ashura >~ DJ~ G2/G3

Base Zoro is G4 equivalent or superior when it comes to pure AP. Asura was already leaps and bounds ahead anything Luffy can achieve on g3 pre-ts can you imagine what it will do after ts?

I bought up Zoro's base is to justify the fact that he should still retain Asura even though he hasn't used it since the TS. Luffy never used G4 before Doflamingo. It's because he wasn't pressured enough to need G4. Likewise, Zoro has yet to be forced to the brick of using asura for his base ,which is now superior to even G3/G2, was more than enough to best his opponents so far. Asura to Zoro is what G4 is to Luffy. In other words, He'll only use it as a last resort.

Sanji can still use DJ. Luffy is using his DF.

No, You have it wrong. I've said there are more ways to show damage then just what's visibly shown, Worn out/Fatigue is one of them; Luffy gets it alot. Lucci had both some visible damage but what did him in was the internal Damage plus Fatigue.
