Character Discussion Which portrayal will be better: Sanji 1v1 King/Queen or Zoro participation in the group fight against Kaido?

Again how is being called Judge Son something that will distract Sanji from the greater plot.
I said it’s set up. Oda is creating a natural basis for Animosity here.

Like I said, it’s subtle. But I guess it doesn’t matter as much as Sanji and King clashed that one time.

And btw, what is the Greater plot? Is Sanji supposed to do anything greater than beating a commander?

Sanji vs King's set up is more than their clash. It's the fucking plotline they're both involved in.

Oda used various arcs to develop a relationship between Sanji and Kinemon. With Sanji's only interest in Onigashma being Kinemon's and Momo's safety. And King's only interest being Kinemon's and Momo's demise. This is what is called proper set-up. Sanji countlessly fighting the hoardes to get to the scarbbards and protect them, whilst King constantly telling the F6 to finish the Samurai and them constantly failing. Leading to King finally deciding to get it done himself with Sanji finally being able to reach them. And them having their penultimate match.

You actually believe Sanji’s bounty will remain above Zoro’s after this arc?
I don’t even think people like Chrono or Jacketo believe this
If you read what I said or had common sense then you would know that if sanji beats kaidos right hand a zoro participates in a team fight then Zoros bounty won’t be that much higher then sanjis if it is.

Sanji beats right hand of kaido with at least 1.3 billion beri bounty so it increases at least one billion since its kaidos right hand.

Zoro participates in a team fight against two yonko that means he also gets at least a one billion beri increase.

It’s not delusional it’s common sense and Oda already made a bounty joke with Zoro and sanji this arc he’s gonna do it again wheter it’s zoro or sanji with the higher one no one knows

Oda could give Sanji the higher bounty but tease with the StealthBlack being on the cover. So Sanji cant be fully satisfied.

Important question to ask, who says Sanji is getting a 1 vs 1 this arc? I still expect Drake to play a role with his fight with Queen- it might not be a 2 vs 1, it might be Drake has a go first then Sanji steps in to finish, but I’ll be surprised if Sanji takes on Queen clean.

The five on the roof (Zoro included, especially given how important he’s been this arc) and Marco are all getting better portrayal than Sanji this arc. To be part of the team that defeats Kaido (and have a decent chance of BM falling as well) is vastly more important than beating a Calamity. This is also more than likely Marco’s only chance to show off, so Sanji isn’t going to overshadow him in this arc.

There’s also a question of Yamato. If she’s to be a Strawhat, she’ll be portrayed lower than Sanji. If she’s not, and is being set up as a pirate captain in her own right, she could well be above him.

Reasonably safe to put Sanji above Jinbei, Drake and Hawkins in portrayal for Wano.

There's a fundamental problem in the way some readers and some others approach this issue, which is their understanding of fights and power dynamics in this manga. Some will believe that opening Kaido's scar or making him a new one would be an instantaneous statement on Zoro's overall strength, meaning he can defeat any enemy who can't perform such feat; I'm not among them, because that'd only say (without taking into consideration Enma's influence, which is still unclear) that Zoro has a higher attack power than those who tried and failed (not even armament haki, necessarily), but shining in one stat alone doesn't make you stronger overall. For example, Oven is stated to have the most durable body among the Charlotte children yet he's clearly inferior to the Sweet Commanders as a whole. There's a bias involved here too, because some stats are overestimated as more significant in establishing the power of a character; attack power and size of a technique being the most common.

If Zoro's main fight in Wano ends up this team effort while Sanji takes on King or Queen alone, we will have pretty much no ground to make any comparison and any approach tried will be probably fallacious to begin with, following unfounded reasonings like the one I just explained about over generalizing stats.

Luffy temporarily knocked out kaido for a couple of seconds. All Zoro did was give kaido a cut that he laughed at. How are those feats comparable? They aren’t

You say sanji gets one shotted by kaido post wano because luffy did but that’s abc logic and doesn’t make sense. No one on the roof even got hit by thunder bagua yet besides luffy and Kidd.
