First of all, you are right, that boar is nowhere comparable to an average mountain in size (at best this is barely small mountain lv) but at the end, the boar is still larger than the Dragon and I'll prove it:
As you can see, those fangs are at least 3x bigger than Zoro and considering that he only cut its head, Zoro's feat wasn't more impressive at all whereas we have this:
The houses weren't big at all? Do you see how tiny the people are compared to the buildings? The dragon's head was at least a bit bigger than those buildings, as you said, but at the end, those buildings effortlessly fit in that mouth, not to mention that the boar still looks ridiculously big in that smoke, several times larger than those buildings.
Yes, it is clearly not comparable to the Central Tree but it still easily dwarfs the other buildings utterly.
Like I said, we simply have to wait for the chapter since those drawings can be inconsistent as well, considering that the PH dragon is 70m which is actually very huge. Imo it is still not bigger or as big as the boar tho.

Try to put the dragon's head in perspective to an average height person running in the wano streets and it is as big as the houses if not bigger
Again, you don't put the entire dragon's body into account, just the head

Why does this have to do with poneglyphs to be relevant? This flashback was specifically timed around The scabbards gaining resolve to attack Kaido... By default this flashback has to explain why they care so much about Oden as to go to certain death for the man...
Now the flashback is going out of its way to explain whatver set out to explain and you don't want to hear it, the chapter is officially useless just coz it doesn't jump into poneglyphs... As though the flashback started when people were talking about poneglyphs or some shit like that

Mihawk isnt even above Shanks (manga facts since they both equal 12+ years ago)
He isnt also above Prime Rayleigh, Roger Xebec who uses swords and advanced haki, yet ni black blade.
Not above Oden either whose hype seems like BM physics mixed with Roger haki stats.
Zoro will surely surpass Mihawk and maybe even Rayleigh/Oden at EoS.
while Luffy will surely surpass Oden/Prime Rayleigh , Yonko & FA and even Roger / EoS Teach.

I wonder what made Orochi to become a traitor
my guess for now : Considering how Hakumai was the most important port, maybe Orochi through his job as a servant had a chance to experiment first hand about DF users... then when Kaido came and tried to invade first time, he was defeated by Oden ; Orochi later approached him wis his carefully schemed plan and requested a DF to Kaido, as the missing piece to make the plan works?
May be proven wrong in a couple of chapters but that's my hypothesis for now ^^
