The problem is that Zoro is stronger than all these people

you guys don’t understand. Pica CANNOT be as strong or even stronger than Zoro because that would mean Pica is very close to strength to Doffy and that can’t happen. The mechanics of the story can’t allow Pica to that close to Doffy in strength

The closest alternative would’ve been Zoro vs Smoothie while Luffy fights Katakuri because their similar standing as commanders would’ve allowed for the power difference to make sense but then again, Zoro could NOT be on WCI because NONE of that nonsense around Sanji would’ve worked with Zoro there

So again, this is just how it is... And then Oda corrected it by having Zoro fight basically even more than Luffy has fought in this arc and then giving Zoro an on panel training session yet he hasn’t even lost yet... Zoro has had multiple fights before Kaido and even a training session without even having lost like how Luffy lost them trained

To Oda, this makes sense... That’s just it... Pica could not be that strong or else to would undermine Doffy. Monet had to be weak or else Tashigi couldn’t beat her and Hody and Hyouzo were both weak from the start as demonstrated by Zoro beating Hody... So in the end, the story is exactly how it’s supposed to be

you don't get what we're trying to say, in a nutshell


Beating Hawkings, Apoo (who's still up), Kyoshiro (that wasn't even a proper 1v1),and Killer( nerfed and not with his blades).. doesn't put that credibility over zoro to go ahead an jump on the roof.. coz he just fought people who he has a fair amount of chance to win against.. and doesn't even 1v1 some.. why does fighting king before hand matter.. is coz the fight itself would be integral for zoro.. an opponent he has to exert alot against...he would get that solo sick fight that would test his limits out before he goes to the roof... and then when he goes up to the roof.. kaido actually puts that credibility and respect over him.. but meh things turn out the way they did there is no turning back.

Regarding the mechanics of the story that should be obvious... like the reason why and the way peca lost against zoro is.. best way to embarrass yourself... if he was top tier then he'd know that a fight involves consistent fighting and not running when the odds are against u... dishonorable honestly.. Vergo would given zoro the fight he needed.. the best way to test zoro's cutting limits... vegro was a monster on his own right.. his DC phenomenal.. and he wasn't even going all out against smoker and law..... saying that peca had to be weak for doffy to be strong would be like saying... ussop has to weak so that luffy stays strong.. bruh doffy could low diff peca if he wanted to.. so calling a coward like peca a top tier fighter.. is straight up rediculous...
