If this truly is Oden and not some weird slight of hand set up by the Beast Pirates or one of Kanjuro’s drawings, I’ll feel comfortable calling it Oda’s biggest narrative misstep of the series. We’ve literally learned everything there is to know about Oden, and most of it has only served to make him less and less impressive as the arc stretches ever onward. Toki is like every one of us here - tons of wasted or otherwise unrealized potential, constantly shafted by some shitty writer and relegated to a footnote in what should be the perfect arc to yield focus a bit.

If Oda plans on doing anything with Toki it's not going to be in the middle of the arc with no proper setup, or buildup to it. She's the key to information about the Void Century.... That's not going to just get slapped into the story out of place....

Look at it this way, in a few arcs, Teach will be fighting Luffy who is faster than the current Luffy that can use FS. And he won't be 'too slow' for Luffy.

It will be like Crocodile in MF vs Crocodile in Alabasta situation.

We only know about a single dragon from Ryuma's past, which we don't even know if it's a variant of the fish-fish fruit like Kaido's or an actual one. So that is not a concrete example.

The story of monsters is not canon, only the character of Ryuma and the event of him slaying a dragon is canon.

He also opted not to do anything with her when he *did* have the setup, buildup, ample opportunity...if not in the flashback where she supposedly died, then when? Also, I disagree that he wouldn’t just bring that up out of nowhere, because that’s exactly what he did in said flashback before dropping the topic entirely. I understand she probably holds a lot of secrets regarding the central ethos of the series, but we all know the end is near and getting closer every chapter...how much longer do we need to edge like this?

Gyukimaru or Kanjuro doing this is Logical & Possible but it's also disappointing for baiting both Readers & Scabbards

Only possibility of this Scene being Relevant & taking us somewhere is if this is actually Devon & Blackbeard Pirates will appear in Wano
Or at least some of them (BB sent Burgess to take Mera Mera No Mi from Dressrosa, why wouldn't he do the same for Wano)

Jack is coming after them so this Oden whoever he is will need to Fight him & i think this is what will confirm for Us & Scabbards if he is truly Oden or a Fake
