I would argue its harder to see it because you belong to a certain fandom
just like the denial of the zoro kaido ties especially after he got enma.
its much less about foreshadowing to me tho
he is arguably the strongest person under the roof marco aside.
am certain he takes on either king or queen
just a question of who now and thats 50/50 for me.
his abilities
flight , fire also make him a good matchup for king just like marco
and if marco goes down
its hard to see anyone else take king. so in your mind if sanji doesnt fight king

Sanji and King clashed, both are obsessed with saving/killing Momonosuke, they interacted with each other and King tried to kill him using his DF.
Not to mention the obvious similarities (fly, fire, appearance).

But all you have are similarities that are common in many characters such as flying which is a common technique as that fat guy said in WCI, fire is something almost everyone can use now.
Queen is the only one who is being foreshadowed as sanji's opponent
Zoro already chopped a dragon's head in PH and we have never seen Ryuma (the real one) in OP. That was in Monsters. I agree that a confrontation between Zoro and Kaido has been obvious since the moment he received Enma but so is Sanji vs King.
Flying is common but not in Kaido's crew.
Fire is common but a fireball like Holdem's one or the fire in Black Maria's weapon are not even close to King's perpetual flame on his back. And he is called the wildfire.
Queen does have various connections with Sanji but they are weaker than the ones Sanji has with King. He already clashed and interacted with Sanji, he tried to kill him and they have a reason to clash again. King has been talking about killing Momo for tens of chapters.

The hatred Queen has for chopper and Drake proves that those 2 will be the ones to take down Queen
Since both also have a beef with Queen
