Future Events Luffy and Zoro's feats vs Yonko makes Sanji beating King more likely

Sanji v King is happening. Marco is stalling both King and Queen. Right now Chopper and the pirates he has cured along with Drake will take on Queen. That leaves King wide open for Sanji. Marco will more than likely have to deal with Perospero.

As for the "Sanji not ready for 2nd commander" argument, it is really weak when the rest of the SHs are taking on the Tobi Roppo and the Roppo are perceived more powerful than the crew not within the M3.

The bare minimum is Queen for Sanji. Getting King as well, with some assistance, doesn't scream as crazy, imo. Oda looks committed to all the Straw Hats leveling up.

But we'll see what Oda has in store for Sanji. Whenever he has some plan, it's always a clutch save.

Agreed. There are valid reasons King facing Sanji but also ones for Queen vs Sanji. It's all about who Oda feels Sanji should fight. I'm not sure which one he'll chose.

King seems like he might go after Momo to kill him since they failed to do that before (due to Sanji which led to their initial clash) and there are other reasons like them both specializing in aerial combat and possibly both utilizing flames in combat.

For Queen, there's the Judge connection and the fact he outright stated he feels it's best to take out Sanji and Zoro, the Straw Hats' two strongest after Luffy. With Queen, King could just as easily send him after Momo or Sanji could arrive to face either Calamity after securing Momo's safety.

There are a few other ones for both sides but those seem like the main ones and I, honestly, don't have a side anymore. Not only because I'm content either way but after thinking about it, both seem possible at this stage of the arc and after hearing arguments for both, I'm not sure which is more convincing. Either way, Sanji gets his Calamity fight so I'm good.
