Why the Oden hate?
He managed to do what all characters have been failed to do since the rooftop fight: mortally scarring Kaido with a single named attack. Oden is hardly a bum bro.

He left his nation to rot for several years. Escaped his duties. In his absence hundreds of people went missing, abducted, tortured, implied raped/killed. Then when he returns he foolishly declines assistance from Top Tiers like the Roger pirates and Whitebeard Pirates due to his pride. Failed to open his nation. Danced for 5 years when he was fully ready and capable to take down Kaido with the Yakuza bosses, especially with Boss Hyuogoro who’s apparently near Oden level.
Leaves his scabbards, own children and the rest of Wano to live in hell fr twenty years.

Yes sure he’s this great mythic man who accomplished his dreams and what not. But threw away his duties in the process and sacrifices generations of his people. Then without shame imposes these duties onto his scabbards who weren’t strong enough of a force to take down Kaido
