We can see a little flashback to when Hyougorou teaches Luffy not to just force Haki out, but let it flow to his fist and into enemy's body.

Oh so it means that Luffy hadn't completely mastered level3 hardening if he judges that his attacks thus far were too shallow, with Hyogoro's flashback emphasizing that it'd bloom in the time of crisis

But the relationship between that and conqueror haki is questionable. In either case, it also means that we'd see a stronger Luffy from now on

Luffy literally says his blows were still too shallow.

Every CoC infused attack has had black lightning coming out of it before they even clash. If there is black lightning coming out of Zoro's blades in the panel, then I'll accept that it was a CoC infused attack. If not, then it's just Kaido identifying Zoro's CoC because of Asura.
