Oden isn't on level of Rayleigh and Gaban, but Oden still strong top tier of his own if Kaido see him behind Luffy of Pirate Legends and he did better with his sword to get recognition on it. Not same case on Zoro as it all about Enma on what it can do really.

In my opinion luffy didnt see sanji as a treat.
He is friend after all, but who knows what the reason.
Back then when luffy v zoro, luffy take it like a serious fight. But back again they are firends after all, luffy cant give it all to his nakama. Like what he did to usop.

Zoro just unlocked CoC. That's it. Stop overthinking it.

CoC is unlocked when you're backed into a corner.

But then he already unlocked it pre-skip not in this fight. In any case just because Kaido believes it could be Coc does not mean it really is. Literally every character that uses it (confirmed ones) does the shockwave thingy and created black lightning and stuff so it really does not add up yet.
