I'm saying that's a flaw of his.

Luffy got tons of actions, Zoro got a few as well.
Oh so you were referring to them getting panel time.
I was talking about their personalities and crew interaction

it was a flaw in pre grand line after that encounter with Mihawk he has been doubting his strength ever since.. in post time skip the first opponent comes across reminds him of himself when he was a large from in a small pond...

zoro doesn't have ego he just knows more now.. instead of his ego his doubt pushes him and his limits..

Post TS it's annoying, Pre TS was fine since Oda counter it with Mr Prince stuff and good fights.
But Post TS, the pervert side got dialed to the 100th power but no Mr Prince or good fights.

Pretty much all the SHs got shafted except Luffy and Zoro cause Oda focus more on world building and tons of other characters that no one cares about.
I think every Strawhats beside maybe Brook, got shafted and neglected real hard.

For example,

Luffy turned into plot armor-esque Shonen protagonist that the community always talks about.
Zoro turned into a soulless edgy badass character with no flaws (Mary Stu type character).
Nami turned into a bouncy fanservice character but at least her character is good.
Usopp is still the same but he doesn't have much courage from before.
Sanji turned from a badass gentleman to a walking simp.
Chopper used to be cool until he become a walking merchandise.
Franky's design was badass pre-timeskip but he turned into a cubic puzzle.
Brook's panty joke is kinda annoying but at least he got some shines.
Jinbei is cool but he doesn't fit the Strawhats vibe.

You see what I'm getting here?

After the fight with Mihawk he lost his humourous side and became even more of a workoholic and obsessed over his strength.

By the first post ts opponent you mean that ship that he cut?
This action was cold as ice and simply cruel. It showed that Mihawk's ways have influenced him over these 2 years.
I feel like Zoro regained a bit of his humanity since then.

I just think Oda actually has a very different view of what he likes about Sanji and what the Sanji fandom likes about Sanji. Post TS he decided to highlight Sanji's traits that most fans (especially the female part of the fandom) didnt like about him, while often brushing off the traits that actually made the character special and so likable.
It's actually funny, really. Tragic, but funny.
No one would mind an arc where Sanji didnt get a fight if he had a Mr Prince moment outsmarting the baddie and saving the crew. Alabasta had the iconic Mr Prince, Skypie had the "thanks for the light", Water7 had Sanji infiltrating the Sea Train, EL had the opening of the gates, TB had the "take my life instead". Fights are cool and all, but these moments are what set the character apart from others in the series. I dont think Oda did a good job with the cake. It could have been it, or the "rescue Luffy operation". The cake was not well received and the operation was a failure if not for the Vinsmokes' intervention. So it wasn't "his" moment. :kayneshrug:
I know this is not something common among the OP fandom in general, but I legit like WCI. It grew on me after reading it again, kinda like Skypie did. The Sanji backstory was never needed, but I was glad with the result, and the final panel, paralleling Sanji with Zeff was very touching, but I think some things could have been handled way better, especially because it WAS a Sanji centered arc.
I know @Jackteo doesn't like the RS much, and I personally still find it weird and clunky, but the power ranger concept I think it's cool. So I'm hoping we get to see some good things from our boy moving forward. And not only here in Wano. But stop having 2-3 arcs without a Sanji 1v1 W, since the "Mr Prince" part clearly got toned down. The Momo saving was cool, but it pales in comparison with the other moments I mentioned. :stealthblack:
SANJI VS KING AERIAL FLAME BATTLE LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

And wanna hear an even more grimm prediction?
Sanji is most likely placing 3rd or 4th on the worldwide popularity poll, which will "tell" Oda that he's doing "a great job" and people obviously like the current Sanji since he's still so popular.
