Powers & Abilities Haoshoku Haki: What are those qualities of a king?

#42
I don't think it's lineage related
why would only Katakuri the only guy that is special and the strongest get it among 85 children
Why didn't Opera get coc?
But still there are some characters i fail to see how they got it
Like Rayliegh is living on his boat and is happy doing it with no big ambition and he just randomly meets Roger and decideds to become his underling
Chinjao after losing his drill head gives up on his dream and becomes a loser
How did this guy get it?

Which CoC characteristics do you believe Sanji displayed exactly, and why? :hope:
1. Natural Born Leader

Sanji has some of the best qualities of a leader in the Straw Hat crew, and people follow him because of it. Enemies (G5/Violet/Germa/BM chefs) and Allies (Twirly hat crew/Usopp and Franky in W7) alike.

2. A king of warriors

Sanji got the literal king of a conquering nation filled with warriors and fighters to fight for him.

3. Exceptional Willpower

Sanjis will to protect those close to him is indomitable and even in the face of certain death he didnt lose that will (Sanji with Enel, Sanji with Doffy)

4. Fame on a global scale

Sanjis bounty is one of the highest in the crew

6. Linear Factor (ancestry)

Sanjis the descendant of Kings Who literally conquered a quarter of the world. I’d be shocked if the vinsmokes of the time didn’t all have CoC

@Celestial D. Dragon @HA001 Zoro's CoC attributes might also be passed down from Ryuma the king as there is a high possibility he is from the Shimotsuki clan.

He doesn’t want to rule anything as he said himself.
That's right. Luffy doesnt want to rule anything. But I disagree with the notion of => “desire to be a king” means “desire to rule”. Does king of snipers rule all the snipers? Its a metaphorical use of the term "king".

No but of course there was a trigger within Germa kingdom that made Sanji enjoy cooking. Sanji wasnt just born, and then be like I wanna cook. He had a positive experience with it, then pursued it vehemently.
So you concede that the environment around you doesn't decide your ambition in shonen? If that was the case then Sanji would be a prince. Garp was forcing Ace and Luffy to be a marine, but in a twist of fate, they have become a pirate. Its fate, destiny.

Is CoC essentially a lottery ticket? Will Oda give CoC randomly to characters whenever it suits him? Or will the aforementioned qualities play a part for characters getting CoC in the future?
Oda will give it to any characters he wants, regardless of their qualities, he already did it with Boa Hancock and Big Mom. Although now that I think about it, it might be because of Oda's infamous hatred for female characters.

He demonstrated not to be always hell bent on accomplishing his true dream.
I don't think his dream is a crucial matter on having CoC, he barely mentions it anymore, Katakuri doesn't want to be the best in the world on nothing, he just took charge on protecting his family/crewmates, as does Sanji, thats literally what he says when he decides to use the Raid Suit, other than that this is a gag panel. Sanji's true conqueror skill is, he conquers people with food and kindness, he also showed great leadership skills, which demands respect, and he also prioritizes saving allies and crewmates, thats what gets him into fighting basicly everytime (very similar to Katakuri)
See what Brook says about Zoro and Sanji during their sacrifice attempt to save Luffy

Judging from the pattern with other CoC users it appears it's a common matrix however, it's mostly about determination and prominency rather than grandiosity of the goal, however that counts too to some extent from what we witnessed

you Get that accomplishing your true dream isn’t the only form of willpower right... a lot of people have different priorities. Even Luffy was willing to compare his dream to a Hercules stag beetle.

besides gags are gags... show one time since Sanji joined the crew his will was not unquestionable.
