I've never seen a box where Law and Kid said they wanted to beat Big Mom openly and straight I may have forgotten something in the manga But what I do know is that in the last few chapters Kid said that Big Mom is out of the question going back to Kaido's side.
In addition, Kid never wanted Big Mom's face if I remember correctly he said the same to Caribou in chapter 928 or 929 He just said he stole something from her and hurt a commander.
Kid especially wanted to kill Kaido he said several times in the prison it seems to me. I never heard that Kid wanted to beat Big Mom I had to forget.
Can you take the chapter out for me or Kid said that ? Please I don't remember at all. For Luffy I know Oda made him repeat that several times.
But for Kid and Law I haven't seen this

the whole point is they don’t want to let her team up with kaido again which means they are gonna be dragged into a long conflict where they have to defeat her.

Kidd formed an alliance to take down shanks. Then kaido showed up. Kidd wants revenge. He goes for kaido. Then he realized big mom and kaido together is too much so he goes after her. Which leads to Kidd having to settle for big mom.

I do not understand you, you say that Kid vs Big Mom is planned from the beginning for Kid to beat her.

Lola Loki and the giants is not something that needs to be fulfilled. Actually kidd defeating and killing big mom makes sense because that will do way more for the story then big mom just leaving

Lola and moria connect to big mom and kaido. Both big mom and kaido will fall in the same arc.
CP0 literally told us that taking down two yonko is impossible which means it’s gonna obviously happen.
Oda wouldn’t have big mom in this arc if she wasn’t gonna fall. It would be a waste of time otherwise. The whole point of big mom coming to wano is to follow the rocks theme where two former members team up and lose to the new generation.
That’s what this arc is about.
Even in 1000 Kidd was set up against big mom.
You know what the crazy thing is? The big mom pirates first appeared post timeskip in fishman island. The first thing we see them do is talk about eustass kidd. Do you think this is all just a big coincidence?

Law will have a part in the fight because of the saboady foreshadowing.
