The raid might not even fail i think it's possible Luffy regains his consciousness to continue fighting next chapter

Even an extention to that, if he's out of the fight for 10 chapters, meets some new character and goes back to fight again with new resolve in another 30 chapters, it's still doesn't mean the raid fails.

Like Luffy lost to Crocodile 3 times basically before he won, it's not like the rest of the crew lost their fights.
