The difference being like Onigashima, Ennies Lobby a war is taking place where one force MUST defeated the other.
In Marineford the complete defeat of the Marines was never the goal and also Oda didn't flesh anything out there only giving everyone outside of Whitebeard clashes only.
If Ennies Lobby had 40 chapters while having less than half the characters that are involved in the Onigashima war how one expects them to be the same?

The only gap that gets bigger is the stupidity of the fans. This is the Yonkou saga. Kaido and Meme are 20 chapters from kicking the bucket,, they obviously get their feats and hype now because there's no future for them.

Because Roger's final enemy were Rocks, Kaido and BM.
Roger, Rayleigh and Garp were strong enough to handle them. Plus WB joined him.
But Luffy has to fight BB and his crew. Every one from BB's crew is far more superior (If not 100% in brute strength then in cruelty and cunningness) than Luffy and his crew.
How is ussop supposed to fight that sniper from BB's crew if all he can do is run with his penis tucked between ass cheeks?

If Jesus B. can do something, why not Usopp or Nami too? I don't even think pre-timeskip JB can go against Kalifa. Also it doesnt have to be BBP vs SHP, even if it happens we may have Yamato for Devon, Nami and Usopp for DocQ and Jesus. Fair enough. First members of Blackbeard Pirates are not that strong
