Did Luffy push Kaido to high diff?

Are people forgetting that it was a 5 v 2 before any of this?
The accurate claim would be the Law, Kidd, Killer, Luffy and Zoro pushed Kaido to high diff. Even that would be stretching it. It is a mid - high diff match only because Kaido left with a scar

Great post. So the English translation left important details out...

As I said, Haki bloom is the answer.
How would that be the answer though when Kaido also has that same type of Haki?

Hi guys, hope you all doing fine, just a few words for starters. I decided to make this thread because I've seen a lot of people making fun of my boy, and I know some of you are jus doing it to joke or as a response to the banter that weekly happened between fandoms but since nobody wanks my boy, I decided to take charge of that.
Another thing, I will tag some people from tag lists of other thread so if you din't want to get tagged, well, you are on a One Piece forum so deal with it:kayneshrug:

Anyway, Luffy pushed Kaido to high diff, here is why.

First of all, Kaido is in hybrid form which is supposedly the strongest form a zoan df user has for fighting. No need for explanation here, if you've read One Piece you should know that.
Second point, Kaido was attacking with the intention of killing Luffy each time he attacked him, meaning he used all his strength in his attacks in the form he used (dragon, base and hybrid), cases in point

Kaido has been using CoC coating with his attacks which he said only the most powerful people in the verse could do implying it is the pinnacle of strength. Using it means he is fighting seriously.
We have also seen Luffy being able to use it and he was matching hybrid Kaido in his base form. Top tier feat.
We also know he fought Kaido in his base for around 20 to 30 minutes in a 1v1, so that alone indicates that it was not a low diff fight.

Now what happened between Kaido and Luffy, well the off panel says it all, Kaido used his strongest attack, move or form (awakening), and Oda is not ready to show that yet.

To sum it all up, Kaido couldn't defeat Luffy without using his strongest attack, so that sounds like a high diff fight to me. My boy did very well despite what some people are trying to say :kata:
When Luffy will come back, he will have something else up his sleeve and will extreme diff Kaido but that's for anothe rthread where I will explain how.

That's why Gear 5 is needed.
Oda himself even hint us that "right now , the enemy we have to defeat is the man said to essentially be the world strongest (Kaidou) Because of that. The world is in the age of transitioning from "4G" to "5G". "G" mean "gear", right ?"

Gear 5 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Awakening Gear 4>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Current Base Luffy with Advance Barrier Penetration COC.

Luffy even need 2 steps PU from his current state "to defeat the man said to essentially be the world strongest (Kaidou)".

That is clearly proves by Oda himself. If no Gear 5 no defeated Kaidou.
- Luffy can't beat 1 Vs 1 base on power level logic
- Luffy should break the fame of "in 1 Vs 1 bet on Kaido" base on Luffy logic
- Luffy shouldn't overcome Kaido in a 1 Vs 1 base on Oda interview

so ... I will go with Kaido > Luffy until end of wano

Why was the fight off panel if Kaido just used his regular attacks that Luffy was matching in base?
Luffy did not match any of Kaido's named attacks, only his basic club strikes.

Luffy will win the last round 1v1, so it also makes more sense to go from a high diff to an extreme diff fight.
  • Kaido may be weakened before his last battle with Luffy. e.g. by Yamato.
  • Kaido may be defeated in a tag team e.g. by Luffy and Zoro or Luffy and Yamato.

"Luffy might defeat Kaido later, so this match between Luffy and Kaido was a high difficulty battle" is a really poor argument. Nami is more likely to defeat Ulti in a 1 vs 1 (unlike Kaido, Ulti hasn't been setup to face any opponents other than Nami), and yet Ulti negs current Nami.

Luffy being able to block Kaido's CoC infused attacks. From what we have seen, Kaido's thunder bagua is his go to attack, it not working against Luffy means Kaido had to pull out his best to put down Luffy.
Hybrid Kaido never used Thunder Bagua against Luffy on panel.

Kaido's acknowledgement that he hadn't been this fired from a fight in while, shows that for that 20 minutes or more, he actually considered Luffy as a worthy opponent, hence the disappointment when Luffy couldn't keep it up.
Stalling someone for 20 minutes and failing to do any lasting damage is not a high difficulty fight.

Luffy did not match any of Kaido's named attacks, only his basic club strikes.
Luffy also didn't use any named attacks during those clashes nor gears. There is no reason that what we saw him doing in base was the strongest he could do, base CoA attacks < Gears CoA attacks, it should be the same with CoC and named attacks.
Kaido may be weakened before his last battle with Luffy. e.g. by Yamato.
So is Luffy already.
Kaido may be defeated in a tag team e.g. by Luffy and Zoro or Luffy and Yamato.
That's possible but to me the last part of the fight will be Luffy will vs Kaido in a 1v1.
It makes sense from a narrative perspective if you believe in a 1v1 between Luffy and Kaido. You do not obviously.
I just don't think Kaido will be much more weakened than he is now. So imo Luffy won't need that big of a jump to defeat him, Kaido's power has his limits.

G5 is not a powerup....it is combining the whole arsenal of Luffy that he had right now....he has all the tools to face Kaido...he just needs to use it in a better way and that will be G5.....I don't want powerup with G4 like drawbacks.......awakening will be the next and last powerup Luffy will have unless we have 3rd level CoC....

Kaido used AdCoC on his club strikes, it is far from "basic'.

Kaido may be weakened before his last battle with Luffy. e.g. by Yamato.
No Cinera, Yamato will just stall Kaido for a bit until Luffy appears.
Thus, she won't deal massive damage to Kaido.

Kaido may be defeated in a tag team e.g. by Luffy and Zoro or Luffy and Yamato.
  • Zoro already fully trusts Luffy to win the fight; he won't do much unless it's ZKK involved.
  • Nah, Yamato won't share the same spotlight like Luffy to beat Kaido.
  • Don't forget, Kaido is the FIRST YONKO who is going to be defeated by Luffy. People tend to forget the fact that Oda planned the Yonko since the beginning of this manga.
  • Saying Yamato and Luffy beat Kaido is like saying Vivi and Luffy beat Crocodile
"Luffy might defeat Kaido later, so this match between Luffy and Kaido was a high difficulty battle" is a really poor argument.
I agree.
However, that is not @Luffy is the mc's only argument.

Fair enough.

No, I think a 1 vs 1 between Luffy and Kaido is the most likely outcome at this point, I just also think Ulti will go down to Nami in a 1 vs 1, and Ulti nearly negged Nami before Linlin cheap shot her.

So Luffy beating Kaido later doesn't suggest that he's near Kaido now. No more than Nami beating Ulti later suggests she's near Ulti now.

I just don't think Kaido will be much more weakened than he is now. So imo Luffy won't need that big of a jump to defeat him, Kaido's power has his limits.
I expect Yamato to deal significant damage to Kaido.

Yeah Oda better give him a real power up if he does, not something that would render him useless and unable to do anything for 10 minutes or almost dead after a fight. This shit is getting old

Except this comparison doesn't work because we haven't seen Nami matched Ulti while we saw Luffy doing it and he even knocked him down multiple times while he was on guard. He could block and dodge.
Nami vs Ulti is one thing, Luffy vs Kaido is another. The dynamic is completely different.

It's very good. You might need some tissue though cuz there's some emotional scenes.:myman:
Gear 5 is not needed.

Gear Fourth: Missile Man is definitely better:
