But let's look from Kaido's perspective. Who do you think Kaido respects more between Luffy and Zoro, based on what he has seen in the fight.

Tbf, Kaido gave more honour and recognition to the scabbards than he did to Zoro. That just screams "Round 2" out loud.

Its pretty obvios its Zoro. Kaido asked zoro to join his crew and said if you join with me zoro and kaido had conqurer the world but luffy freak ass said none of them will join.
He even recognize him as a conq haki user shocked kaido more than 10 times on rooftop.

Manwhile kaido fucking smililng at luffys overrated weak as you guys did saw that ch1013 kaido crying he dissapointed af that he overrated weak ass luffy.
