Jew D. Boy

I Can Go Lower
The samurai/ninja of Wano will likely become members of the Grand Fleet, official or otherwise. If Momo doesn’t continue traveling with the SHP, the none of the Scabbards will either, but maybe all the random faces Oda showed us multiple times earlier in the arc will become bit players among Luffy’s other tertiary followers.

Another ten chapters since we saw Carrot, and just like last time, it seems very deliberate that she's being left out. There’s a point Oda's planning to make, and it has everything to do with Pedro's will.
Who cares about Pedro's will anyway?

What was the drive for the people who voted Tama particularly?

I have a hard time believing she would join instead of staying with Momo. So unlikely.
To be fair, Tama's chances are good, better than the 3 "C" candidates we have, until she declared that she wants to see and experience Wano under Momo's rule... She wants to sail, she has a role as a weaver (a necessary role in the crew due to the SH), a decently cunning head-on danger strategist, etc... But that's just it...

With Carrot is enough xDxD
LOL... She's a liability...

Not really, because if that's the case it would be a Jinbe 2.0
Huh? Well in fairness, being a Jinbe 2.0 is miles better than being a Chopper 2.0...

@Garp the Fist: if at the end of Wano Yamato appears to be considerably stronger than Sanji, do you think that would preclude her from joining the crew?

Examples of scenarios in which Yamato would be considerably stronger than Sanji at the end of Wano:
  1. She reveals that she can enhance her attacks with Haoshoku.
    • This is an ability that Kaido said "only a handful of the very strongest" possess and is unequivocal top tier portrayal.
  2. She pushes Kaido to use his Hybrid form against her and gives him a difficult fight.
    • Chapter 1009 Luffy should be above End of Wano Sanji and he was low diffed by Hybrid Kaido.
  3. She pushes Kaido to use his Awakening.
    • Chapter 1010 Luffy should be considerably above End of Wano Sanji and he was unable to push Kaido to use his Awakening.

There are others, but any of the above 3 would make it clear that Yamato is much stronger than Sanji. If that is the case, do you think she becomes less likely as a nakama? That Oda is too unwilling to disturb the sanctity of the Monster Trio?

I had to edit the URL, but this works for me:
Yamato looks smaller and younger in this cover.

Oden was a leader, she also wants to be like him, so, yes, it is expected that she have CoC.

I don’t believe Oda is ever going to ditch the Monster Trio, but that doesn’t mean if Yamato is stronger right now she can’t join. The more likely outcome would be Oda upgrading Sanji back to 3rd next arc. I also find it hard to believe Toei did that Gaban/Oden fight thing on their own accord. Especially when with what we knew beforehand Rayleigh v Oden made more sense with them both being the right hand of their respective crews and being CoC wielding swordsmen. It was an odd choice. If it was on Oda’s say so then it’s likely a way of maintaining Roger’s Monster Trio.

At worst I think her and Sanji are likely to be neck and neck down the road based on that information if she indeed joins. Jimbe and Franky both looked significantly better than Sanji before joining and had superior feats to back it up. But then Oda put him back to #3. His name even means 3 and his Germa number is 3. I will say Yamato’s Oden parallel would lead me to expect her to be closer to the M Trio than them though.

This is plausible I guess. We'll see how things go.

If Yamato can imbue her attacks with Haoshoku, Sanji will not be able to hold a candle to her. Haoshoku cladding is unequivocal Top Tier portrayal.

Back to my Gaban/Oden point, Oden had it and yet he was fighting with Gaban on the beach and it appeared to be a stalemate. So if having it truly puts someone that far above someone else who doesn’t have it then I think it’s more likely Sanji gets it in the future than Yamato completely outclasses him. I’m not one who expects Sanji to get it at this point but if Oda truly decides it’s that or disrupt the trio I think he would do it. This post is for future crewmate speculation so don’t want to turn it into a Sanji v Yamato powerscaling post, but that’s just the direction I see things headed if she joins.

A handful roughly usually mean around 5, so that would be an ability only Yonko level characters possess or close. Yamato might be hella strong but she most certainly won't have advanced CoC. It doesn't affect her chances of joining though.
