Character Discussion Yamato is Stronger Than King

How does Yamato compare to King?

  • Kidd and Law do not share the same relationship with Kaido that Yamato does.
  • Kidd and Law did not have the same story with Kaido that Yamato does.
  • Kidd and Law did not fight Kaido in a 1 vs 1.
  • Kidd and Law are fighting Big Mom.

I mean if you're confident that Kaido low diffs Yamato, I'm willing to bet against it.
I’m honestly not sure why you’re still pushing the ‘Yamatrash’s relationship with Laido means she’s > King’. As many others have pointed out, her feats are nothing special, toying with a non-serious Luffy, oneshotting a Number, which even Franky can do, and Ulti getting back up and confident enough to fight Big Mom afterwards.

Based on what he was doing this chapter, I actually think Sanji is stronger than her (feel free to screenshot this now lmao, only time I will ever give Sanji unconditional praise). Sanji is knocking Queen (to be fair, this fat fuck is a real punching bag) about while King is chilling. His racial traits have been hyped by Big Mom, his hybrid form hasn’t been revealed and he was turning ‘find Yamatrash’ into an Easter egg hunt. Solid mid diff for King, high diff if I’m being generous.

Base PreTS Yamato = PreTS Ace who had the same potential as Sabo who would slapped King silly, Does Oda really need to spell everything for you??????

For the umpteenth time, Kaido's commanders are based on poker playing hands, ergo Ace (Yamato) > King > Queen > Jack.

Yamato is a COA specialist who is exceptionally proficient in Ryuo.

Removing the cuffs binding Yamato requires a niche application of Armament Haki that neither Zoro nor Yamato have.
I don't think it's a niche application of, it's just letting it flow into your hands without forcing it. I doubt Zoro wouldn't know how to do it considering how he was the first to take the step into CoA, but it doesn't mean Yamato can't learn it herself.
If anything, I expect a CoC faceoff like between Katakuri and Luffy.

Brook lost his equivalent fight in Thriller Bark horribly. And Law really didn’t do all that well against Doflamingo either.

Jumping the gun here. We know that Yamato will fight Kaido with all she has.

But will Kaido, who is still insisting that he is Yamato’s father and will make her Shogun, fight with all he has against her? Or will he treat her like he did the Scabbards, give her a shot before finishing her quickly without ever needing to go all out.

And is the setup for Yamato to fight alongside Luffy, or to need to be saved by him? If she is to be a Strawhat, it’s more likely she’ll need to be saved.

Plus, even if Yamato goes on to really push Kaido, what’s to say King couldn’t do the same? The upper reaches of both their strengths really hasn’t been touched on yet.

It also has to be said, the fact the Calamities didn’t bother to hunt Yamato themselves and that the task was given to the Flying Six, with the reward then being a chance to fight a Calamity, does not imply the Beast Pirates think Yamato is as strong as a Calamity, at any rate.
Sasaki seemed surprised when Yamato started transforming, so it’s very probable that the F5 and even the All Stars are unaware of Yamato having a Zoan (which is very likely superior in quality to theirs btw). The F5 being assigned to capture her in order to get the right to challenge a Calamity for their position doesn’t mean that Base Yamato is weaker than all the Calamities. For example, if Base Yamato is YC3 level, then capturing her means that you should also be at least YC3 level, and since Jack is also clearly YC3 level, being able to capture Base Yamato signifies that there’s a very good chance that you could be stronger than Jack and thus more deserving of his position than he is.

Flying 5 sure I can see them not knowing. But the calamities absolutely should know as they knew Yamato before Yamato was chained. I can’t imagine Kaido someday feeding Yamato a fruit and not saying “my kid has a powerful fruit and will one day join us.”

yeah that's a no from me dawg

Yamato will probably get washed and have some inspiring moment before Kaido regretfully takes her out. Narratively It's more inspiring if she knows she has no chance of even hurting Kaido and still stands up to him. Also I think she's joining the crew so I don't expect her to be stronger than Jinbei
Why would she have to be weaker than Jinbe?

Nice take o this

Yamato would get the luffy treat wen he fought katakuri for the first time

Remember yamato was getting ready to go all out against base Sasaki but she above king:denzimote:
Apparently you can't read context.
The fuck do you think was happening just before this?
She was handing his men their asses all the while taking blows from them and for the other two.
The second she implied to really fight, Sasaki figuratively shit his pants.
But here you are trying to make a false narrative.
