What second war? So you say they will fight at the festival which will take alot of chapters, getting f*cked and they have to retreat, just so they can regroupe again and start the whole thing all over again? lol
What would be the point of this? It would stretch the manga soooo much for no reason. Especialy after Oda stated that he wants to end OP in 5 years - don't take the number too serious, but he is speeding up like you can see with the FB.

she could somehow turn on Kaido because of Tama or someone or something else.
When you'll stop with that bullshit?
You're a fan of BMPs as villain team but wanna their war against SHs be ruined by a puny girl?
If Linlin meet Tama again, she'll only show her true self and Tama will need think better about want be pirate.

Someone mentioned how the last chapter had the black backdrop fading, indicating a possible temporary stop to the flashback. Which makes sense if the Alliance loses. It'd be understandable to make the more emotional half of the flashback lead into the heroes' victory rather than defeat. Right now we have the uplifting half to motivate the Scabbards, as they and the rest storm Onigashima, then proceed to lose.

Special mention was also made to Jinbe's absence, so he should be there during the war. Neko has also not made it. It makes no sense to have the Scabbards win when we know one of its members isn't even here yet.

The alliance can't win against two yonkos.

Big Mom might be separated from Kaido to fight the marines coming to Wano with her crew later in the arc or she could somehow turn on Kaido because of Tama or someone or something else.
The alliance as presently constructed* loses round 1 with impunity, then the reinforcements show up (Garp/any or all admirals/possibly SHGF) and they take round 2.

Imo, it's definitely a win for the Yonko... there's no contest.. with Kaido and Big Mom in Onigashima right now, they're unstoppable, even with all the alliance combined.

However, in my view, I'm certain that the SH crew and the alliance aren't gonna take part in this raid on Onigashima; Oda took steps dismantling the ships, and even the sunny... for what purpose would Oda do that, only to still get the alliance to Onigashima, and make that event redundant in the end??

I believe Oda is using the scabbards as sacrifice, to liberate Wano from Kaido and Orochi... This is why Oda took precautions to prevent the alliance from heading to the meeting place, and made them unable to proceed. Meanwhile, 7 out of the 9 scabbards are heading there, unaware of what was going on..

Wano will be the main battleground for the final fight, not Onigashima... and like every island involved with the SH crew, Wano can't just be the spectator in this war.. it must be the participant in this war; the country must take part, revolve in chaos, and shed its own blood in this fight...

As it is also a betting thread, I'm gonna take a bet and place a pretty big prediction on here: All of the scabbards will "die" in Onigashima, and only two will remain - Inuarashi and the traitor.

Inuarashi's role is to escape to Wano and relay the message of what happened in Onigashima to the alliance, whilst the traitor - whoever it is - will get the chance to redeem himself later in this arc.

Interesting

Maybe retainers take down at least orochi and his men in the process and die in onigashima
While dukes remain alive.

Kawamastu can swim tho... I dont know why he cant just carry his friends to onigashima

Everything seems to be against the alliance, that's exactly why they are going to win.
Oda is setting up something big for the alliance, rn the scabbards are desperate and when they think everything is lost, that's when luffy and the rest will make their appearance and turn the tide.

Overall great post, but here I disagree. To say it in the words of Saruman from Lotr (in a different version fit for the occasion):

"There is no dawn for the traitor!"

Too many things have happened, too many tragic deaths and events because of him/her. There will be no redemption.

I also place a bet on the Onigashima raid not being the final war of Wano. It just doesn't make much sense plot-wise. Oda always writes his big conclusions in a way, that literally EVERYONE can see the end of the main antagonist /think Arlong, Crocodile, Enel, Lucci, Doflamingo ...). That includes all the citizens, in this case Wano's citizens.

However, if the war ends on Onigashima, the people of Wano wouldn't know jackshit about Kaido's and Orochi's downfall. You can't tell me that this saga ends with the SHs going back to the Flower Capital and telling the people there "Hey guys, you haven't heard of it yet, but we just defeated Kaido and Orochi woop woop. You just have to believe us!"

Kaido and Orochi will find their end at a place and time, where (nearly) all the citizens of Wano will be spectators of their downfall (Flower Capital, Mt. Fuji?).
