I have already said it in the spoilers but I'll say it again for those who didn't read my post :
Never before Oda had done such a terrible and stupid job at trying to make us believe that the enemies are the dominant force and that the Straw Hat Pirates are the underdogs than in Wano arc, where everything is made to help the Straw Hats and their Supernova, samurai, ninja, yakuza, mink and other allies against the Beast Pirates with plot armor, ass pulls and PIS being stronger than ever in the Straw Hats' favor such as the Scabbards and most of the Supernovas being able of injuring Kaido, with Marco joining them too early and easely despite having said at first that he wouldn't come, Yamato being created and helping the alliance immediatly, Big Mom still being as nerfed and toyed by the plot as much as during Whole Cake Island arc, Queen basically giving the cure to his virus to the alliance and immediatly turning on X-Drake to make him join his fellow Supernovas, not counting the full moon to boost the minks, the cheap and cringeworthy drama with Zeus, Big Mom and Perospero doing far more harm than help to the Beast Pirates, Tama having the ability to turn Smiles users into her servants, many Gifters joining the Alliance because Oda had Queen mock them instead of focusing on the fight and on Marco, King and Queen being restrained by plot armor and not a single Calamity even using his hybrid form, members of the Alliance being somehow capable of matching and fighting Kaido even in his hybrid form, the Big Mom Pirates still being stuck below the waterfall even if they should have easely crossed it a long time ago, etc...
This raid of Onigashima is really the worst written and most anticlimatic war/battle in One Piece history, with no real tension or sense of danger, being nothing compared to Marineford in terms of danger and epicness, with even the battle of Fishman Island and the wedding cake chase being more climatic and exciting than this raid.
It shows that Oda didn't learn his lessons about Dressrosa and Whole Cake Island arcs, making the same mistakes how making a too long arc with too many plotholes, conveniences, annoying new characters, ridiculous plot points and eternising fights.
It also confirms my longtime feeling that a war between two Yonko, or between the Navy or one/two Yonkos or between the Navy or a Yonko crew vs the Warlords or the Revolutionary Army would be far more exciting and interesting that any war opposing one of the major powers to the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies.
Have I fucked your Girl without knowing you were with her? Or you got another reason to hate my character enough for you to drag down Sanji fans that are suffering?
nah its pretty lit... great tropes, SHP meet their match, Tama is given the sensible screen time and narrative, SN face 2 yonko's, 2 great characters is introduced( Yamato and Oden) , Clutch lord sanji moment, Nami finally gets a powerup, charcter r development for momo, Kinemon, kanjuro, Ashura, Minks, Sanji, Nami, Chopper, Kaido, Luffy, Zoro, Franky, Robin and Brook etc.
The setting is elegant, the lore of wano, the clans, Wano in retrospect and after, the transition of tone between each town is Great, some living legends like Yasui were also introduced..
The SN's had great character development as well,
(Kid, killer and law)
The legend of ace
The Shishibukai abolishment, Teach takes the helm, Oden's flashback and his legendary death,..
The interconnection and execution of thing was in general pretty darn good.
i honestly had skipped half of wano and jumped to aft 3 directly after reading the flash back... i wanna revisit and assess Wano again..
the arc is lit 10/10.
what killed hinders my assessment is "power scaling" minute and trivial discussions that diverts my attention from the story.
The thing that's most telling about this entire arc is that I and most other fans feel ZERO tension.
Literally no threat at all.
Nobody is sitting there, anxiously waiting for the next chapter and being really pumped or even in fear, what will happen next.
Everyone is just taking it like
"Oh well, hopefully next chapter will be good. Let's just skip to the part where we see how everyone wins their matchup."
instead of
"OMFG, can't wait for next chapter!!! Oh man, I'm really worried about our heros, they're really in a bad situation right there! I hope nobody bites the dust!"
how it should be.
Heck, even when Luffy fell into the ocean or Kinemon got stabbed, literally everyone was like: "Well, so what? They'll come back anyway."
That's actually a nail in the coffin for the climax of an arc.
Holy fuck was this hitting the nail. I didn’t even realize it. We barely know the strawhats anymore. Sanji is reduced to a gag. Robin speaks a line every 35 chapters. Whenever Nami panels are there, omfg do I not give a fuck about it. Usopp has had dwindling panel time since Dressrosa. Luffy is an entirely different character now.
And this arc we got SOOOOOOOO Much Oden wank. Since the moment Kinemon told the story of Oden, not stop silhouettes and wanking of this fuck tard of a character. Soooo much focus on Tama, Momo, Hyuogoro, and the Red Trashbags. Almost as if they were central to this arc and important. But Oda failed hard at making them likeable. They are all terrible and mind numbingly fucking boring
But yeah the Nine Scarrabs really are shallow and boring.
Wanking a fucktard character of Oden is really annoying too. I hate how Oda is constantly pushing Oden down the readers throats, like he wants us to choke and gag on the Oden dick.
Sorry but Oden isn't good enough, no matter how cool or badass Oda try to sell him as. If Oda really wants us simp over a character and a real Chad, then look no further than Katakuri. Now that's a man worth wanking for.

I think that's more of an issue with us being longtime readers and knowing what to expect after 1000 chapters. Even now with Toko and Hitestsu pretty much confirming Yasuie is dead, it still feels like, nah, he ain't..... There is not much Oda can really do for readers like us anymore, shy of literally showing someone get ripped in half, and bleeding out till the life leaves their body. And then after that, throwing the body into a pit of fire, and watching it turn to dust.
This stuff works on newer readers to the series though, because I've seen Youtubers getting into One Piece recently, and the tension in their reactions, for them, seems pretty genuine.
It sucks to say, but I doubt I'll ever feel that tension again that I use to feel when I first got into the series, no matter what Oda does. It's not entirely his fault, as I am just way to accustomed to his writing style.
While the most strongest critisism are fake tension, lack of deaths, missing focus on SHs, amnesia (although people overreact here) and pacing the rest is just personal preferences.
Not only that, we have no idea how much is left: the raid falling for instance would eliminate most of the points above. Wano being liberated right now will definitely downgrade the arcs quality, we will have to wait.
Wano isn't that Bad but i also has some Problem with it Like For now it's more like a 5.5 or 6/10 (anime is way better than manga)
1.ZERO tension
2.low Focus on SHP (Expect Luffy he has way too much Focus)
3.Honestly i don't care About antagonist Kaido isn't an interesting Main antagonist at lest For me (a Good Flashback Probably can fix it) King (We almost Know nothing about Him) BM is Big Meme that she is and was more useful than Harmful for alliance BMP are? where are they?_ Queen and Perospero are Good
4.too much Fake dead after Pound (He Ruined a Very good dead for a bullshit reunion) every dead is fake For me Honestly i fear that some how even Yasuie is still alive (and i don't think Asura Kin Kiku and Kanjuru are dead) Even that F**ing Boar (Mt God) was some how still alive
5.Toki

I hear you, but I think it's really mostly on Oda.
He literally told/showed his readers, that there are almost never going to be (severe) consequences for his main characters or side characters in the present story.
He resorts to ridiculous fake tension moments and fake deaths (Pound, Pell, Pagaya, Pekoms, Moscato, Bon Clay etc.) time and time again.
Of course we as readers will roll our eyes at some point and laugh about every intended "shocking cliffhanger".
I still enjoy reading the story btw. I think it's a fun read, while being far off a "masterpiece" in terms of actual storywriting. This self-inflicted lack of tension just makes me sad though. It could've been so much better with just a few other decisions, Oda didn't have to balls to make.
I’ll address the elephant in the room. Big Mom feels like a waste this arc.
She gets clowned left and right too many times to count, the amnesia bullshit was stupid by One Piece standards, mother mode, making Hera just because Prometheus was horny, failing to kill one of her own Homies, and even her crew feels like an afterthought.
The shit was funny at first but now it’s just Rebecca levels of unwatchable.
maybe if oda can change the focus instead of samurais n oden more n more backstory he should focus on
flying 6 backstory
kaido backstory
king backstory
queen backstory
n stop with oden wanking please we all know oden is awesome oda
but .... with new chapter after ulti defeated TWICE .... i think ulti n page one backstory not gonna happening .....
Truly I think Oda is a hack for bloating this arc with so many uninteresting forgettable side characters like scabbards and hyogoro and forced new characters like oden and yamato when he's already created so many amazing characters to focus on. I enjoy one piece and acknowledge Oda is one of the best mangaka, but I don't care. He's a hack in this regard.

I think it is half and half. The fact that we are in the latter half of the story and have plenty of examples of Oda's fake out definitely contributes to the lack of tension, but I still believe it can be done in a reasonable way.
You don't even need to go too far back for it. There was genuine tension with the events of the Reverie. No one expects Sabo and the Revs to die but there was real concern about what happened to them and for some even Kuma. Everyone expects that something happened to Vivi as well and it's generally assumed that Kobra kicked the bucket. How Shirahoshi was going to be saved from Charloss greedy fingers, the dissolution of the Warlords and which ones if any may be captured by the Navy. The Reverie can stand tall with any preskip arcs.
There's also the Tea Party and the start of the escape from WCI. You actually felt like the Strawhats and allies were outnumbered and out of their league with few good solutions. Even with Germa 66 being freed they had to retreat into Bege's Big Father. The Commanders & officers actually countered the alliance's best attempts quickly and immediately rather than mostly just standing around to watch or getting tossed around by alliance members.
Their one means of escape (Tamate Box) was set up much earlier in Fishmen Island and we didn't know exactly how it was going to help them, just that it would come into play, and it was completely by accident too and done well with the secondary characters (Du Feld & Stussy). It wasn't terribly dragged out either and got to the point.
Even the parts that most people have the most problems with in WCI had passable excuses like Big Mom not being in her right mind and the chase being on the open seas rather than an isolated island like Onigashima.
There are some things that are unavoidable like Oda and not killing off characters, but he has shown that he can write proper tension. Wano just fails in that regard.
You mean the "reactioners" whose entire point is to like everything he/she is forced to watch because of money they've been given to?! Nahh dude, you don't have a case there. Youtubers who make reactions on songs, movies and animes are forced to like it all, it's their way of making money, they can't just say what they truly think about it.
Find me one "reactioner" who said that this or that thing is bad, you can't. You might be able to find Youtubers saying it's average, but you'll never be able to find one that says it's bad. In YouTube, the "black" Youtubers are forced to watch metal, rock and country and pretend that they like it, while the "white" Youtubers are forced to watch rap/hip hop and pretend as if they like it.

I kinda disagree because Luffys first initial contact with Cracker genuinely had me excited and wonder how Luffy is going to beat this guy. I mean he's someone zoro sanji or one of the other strawhats would face and the captain is struggling.
Then oda revealed next chapter the weakness oda sets up good potential plot points with tension but he doesn't let it sit & either snuffs it out the next chapter or by the end of the same chapter the possible tension was introduced.
Plus you can't feel tension if everything is skipped over.
