He built all these crosses by himself, using wood he collected in only 6 days of honest work. Denji then won the national lumberjack tournament, where he competed with the best of the best, beating every single one of them with his genuine skills, achieved only through dedication, hard work and willpower alone.
Through a series of dramatic flashbacks we found out that there is a deeper meaning to Denji's dedication: After his grandfather had died trying to achieve his dream of winning the tournament many years ago, Denji did now seek to fulfil his grandfather's dying wish and to make his family proud, being the first in over 10 generations of lumberjacks to stand at the top.
He must be very proud of himself. And so are we!
Well done Denji!
You are now a lumberjack unrivalled beneath the heavens!!
Nah. It's about a family of lumberjacks trying to earn an honest living.
