I mentioned this previously, but I believe this day phase was specifically designed to only be about captain selection.

Given the no lynch procedure that’s in place, we can’t really put a player in a position where we can determine if what they’re doing vs what they’re expected to do is scum or town indicative.

Because the concept of pressure is effectively removed, it’s easier to throw suspicions and reads without much repercussions since we are assured survival of this day phase.

Also, the day phase seems to be constructed to foster more fluff posts which makes it hard to determine alignment. Activity in such an environment is easy to generate irrespective of your affiliation.

Given all of this, players saying a player is town, because he is more active or scum for not being present or defending themselves is quite weak.

This is just my opinion though. I’m fine with players giving out reads if they want to.

Ehh well the only pressure that has been removed is the lynch. People can still look at others' behavior and from that point choose what to do with their night actions. And discussion is bound to happen anyway, even among all the fluff.

Though I get the argument about activity, some players just aren't about phases like this, so it is not necessarily alignment indicative.

i disagree with the idea that there cant be any wolf hunting during day zero. this post feels like you want us to disregard everything that is happening this phase except the captain selections and im not sure how thats good advice.

like i know you drop the i dont really care do whatever at the end of your post but its obvious you spent sometime building a case to convince people that any focus that isnt on captain selection isnt the greatest

Then it should be worth checking interactions that happened this phase already.

Namely Flower vs Mel
Mel vs Udel
Yagoo vs Marimo
FB vs Mel
Light vs Flower
