Smoker would logically need to get up because the whole place was about to fall apart and the poison gas would take over, LAW had a BIG MOTHER plot waiting for him, and the ZORO treatment, which couldn't wait.
KAIDO is famous for fighting to the exhaustion of his enemies:



So even if KAIDO defeats LAW like he defeated him, he will do anything to try to break his spirit, just like he did with the Kid for example, went to/putting in UDON to get his spirit broken, KAWAMATSU too, so KAIDO does what he can, even Luffy went to UDON, and KAIDO had a big grudge against him, and kaido didn't kill him, he first thought about breaking his spirit.

Impressive for LAW, its current version is outperforming DOFFY, LOW DIFF.

Vergo did never defeat Law.

I think law has better endurance than smoker both were both hit somewhere in the chest/stomach area but I only see smoker fall towards the ground whereas law is only shown kneeling and it was from a more physically stronger character such as kaido himself.

LAW is not on his knees, he fell to the FLOOR, you can see him fallen, what happens is that he fell on top of a small rock, but he's still fallen.
LAW > VERGO > SMOKER
