I really don't understand the use of scopper to downplay sanji
Even assuming the trio thing with roger ray and isnt a thing. Or that he weak which i dont understand why youd do since he definitely was one of the stronger members back in the day still dont hurt sanji

The similarities he has with sanji which so far is the assumption hes the the 3rd strongest after ray. Also Not including oden because his strength is more debatable

The less similarities the less it matters

It´s the other way around. People were basing their prediction that Sanji would always stay close to Zoro and Luffy based on the metal theme, yet Oda hardly puts any emphasis on it in the rate occasion that he actually shows the crew.

Sure can be, and at least the sensible guys around do not claim otherwise, but if sanji fans almost exclusively used this theme as argument that sanji would keep up with the other two, and oda completely ignores that, welly you get the gist.
