and remember when Sanji tried to geppou Luffy away in WCI he couldn't escape another random WCI character who also had the same skill and needed help from his brothers to escape

then this arc we get to see Zoro protecting Luffy 7 times against both Kaido and Big Mom, while Sanji couldn't save Luffy from a random Big Mom crew member

It's outdated. You won't find mention of it in Wano and we never hear it again. Zoro and Luffy are increasingly shown as partners. Sanji is just not on their level
