He can't become PK just by winning a 1vs1 fight, he needs hiscrew to fight other crews/armies and to help him with everything outside of fighting. But way back to the Arlong Park arc, Luffy's SINGULAR skill is to beat the fuck out of the strongest guy in the other side, this has been drummed into us throughout the series. You want to cuck out the MAIN CHARACTER and belittle his ONE ROLE in the crew, so his subordinate looks better.

This is a shonen, Sanji is not aiming to be PK, Zoro is not aiming to be PK (and Mihawk not only admitted PK> WSS in Baratie, but reconfirmed there was a distance between him and oldbeard).

Luffy and Kaido are both aiming to be PK. This is personal, Kaido even threatened Luffy to say his dream in front of him. This is fundamental to Luffy's character.

Hawkins will assist one of Kid or Luffy. He has the power up card

"Zoro and Sanji are Luffy's wings"

and

"Sanji is the man who deserves to be Luffy's wings"

Yeah, point is that Oda's just using the same word "Wings" either way.

That's how he views Zoro and Sanji from the perspective of the author, and now he has a character make that reference in a moment when said character talks about how highly she thinks of Sanji and how much she appreciates the fact that Sanji relied on her.

his rivals are fighting 2v1

even if kaido taken damage, luffy won't make a 100% recovery, he only eat some meat
zoro will heal all of his injuries doesn't mean he will be at 100% performance, also why would he wast so much potential on a definitely exhausted king, it makes no sense.

Why are people so pressed about Kaido running an extreme gauntlet. He’s the strongest man in the world

Big Mom will not lose to just two guys either, she will likely have to face off against Killer, Hawkins Drake and Apoo

Kaido is not any more nerfed than Luffy is, Kaido has fruit regen, Luffy doesn't.

Kidd is not a proper rival at this point, his crew can't compete at all, he has no Poneglyphs or readers, and Kidd himself doesn't have anywhere near Luffy's power.
