Calling "Zoro vs Luffy" as serious fight as an argue to rivalry is like saying Sanji vs Luffy clashes during WCI was a fair 1vs1 cuz they wanted to know how strong they were.
Zoro and Luffy doesn't argue like Zoro and Luffy do or compete with each other, i know you guys like to ignore things such as Enies Lobby powerscaling cuz for you it looks like everything is a "GAG", but when Wano finally settles this down there will be a lot of salt, i mean there kinda is already.
What you need to understand is that Oda will always put Zoro to achieve more feats than Sanji, and overall look better strengthwise, which makes sense, thats his official role in the crew. In the end he will put them together to settle down that there is a pretty solid gap between them, and both of them know it.
Before the rooftop we couldn't even have this conversation but stick with "Zoro wants to beat Mihawk, so it will be Zoro>>>>>>>Sanji" cuz you guys can't accept Sanji will be right there behind him, thats what Oda is going to do. This is Enies Lobby all over again, Sanji looked like he was going to get replaced by Franky or Robin cuz he couldn't beat CP-9 in the seatrain, then he gets beaten by Kalifa and then beats the guy comparable to Zoro's opponent in the same arc, then Oda proceeds to put Zoro and Sanji to work together for the rest of the arc. Nothing changed.

Yeah Mid thanked Zoro his savior and said it's a real feat while Zoro scarred Kaido for life and saved his ass from the tornado whereas Mid only talked big and gave us reactions 
The raw strength that looked trash against Tornado ? 
Zoro overpowered and scarred A Yonko for life and had him sweating and shaking and bloodied and panting while mid couldn't even scratch big mom or Kaido lmao
