Luffy mastered his fruit just like Zoro mastered his swords. The fruit is part of Luffy so he learnt to depend on his power. Thats like saying remove Zoro's swords, he can't do jackshit, which is actually true lol. Atleast Luffy can read future, have advanced coa and coc. if Luffy didn't have his fruit he would have learnt and devise other way to fight, Luffy getting fruit is just a plot.
At the end of the day Luffy is stronger than Zoro, even if by a fraction.

Bullshit. Take away zoro swords and he still has his full speed strength stamina defense and endurance. Along with his haki.

Take luffys fruit away and he LOSSES: SPEED, AGILITY, MANUEVARABILITY, RANGE, ENDURANCE
, DEFENSE AND HIS OFFENSE DECRREASES CONSIDERABLY. Ofcourse he will still have his haki but he will naturally be slower than both sanji and zoro. Since his body being rubber and having elasticity naturally makes his body lighter. And he losses speed to build momentum in attacks and he loses the ability to increase his bone or muscle mass to deal heavy damage
