For pirate, it happens that blades are the weapon of choice most of the times. But those guys don't dedicate themselves to swords like true swordsmen. Roger might as well use a club if he feels like it. After all he even used a pistol. Or Ray using two sabers instead of his Katana. Imagine Mihawk randomly switching between his Yoru and a saber+pistol like Roger.

If Roger at least had a black blade, we could've argued. But cmon, neither Roger nor WB did turn their blades black permanently.

No thats fanfiction, Roger is a swordsman, but that doesn't mean thats his main fighting style. Mihawk title ain't talking about dead people anyways.

With a pick up saber he defeated the king of the era RoX ...and clashed with his rival WB....

"Doesn't fit" .......there no a single type of swordman....

What's wrong with the whole "Roger was a swordsman" and what's the end goal? like what are they trying to get at??? Cause it can go both direction:

1- Either they make Mihawk title be just a worthless name, so that it dehypes Zoro by saying he would not reach Roger's level....etc

2- OR, they are trying to hype Zoro with it by saying Zoro will end up higher than Roger.

WSS title is about skills or cutting skills

This is why Zoro novels compared Mihawk Zoro Law cutting skills , why vista skills is hyped to rival Mihawk.

If it wasn't about skills then it means Mihawk is above anyone who uses a sword(or blade) /is a swordman then Mihawk is abkve WB Roger and automatically above Kaido Garp Shiki Xebec Sengoku...

Which doesnt make sense

Is Mihawk top 10/11; a top tier? Yeah surely

Will Zoro be too tier? Surely but he isnt gonna surpass anyone who is FA/Yonko, except maybe Shanks!

Don't you just love when Goda proves those wrong in next chapters and make those who said those statements look like idiots thinking it be like their personal headcannons. They don't try to think like Goda who has a more refined and fair-mind unlike their biased make-believe lol.

Goda keep proving some wrong once again and how he truly feels for Gaban XD!
