Disappointed? In what? I'm indeed disappointed with how fucking trash King has been and it won't change. Oda is not the type of writer to develop a character in few chapters.
He won't develop a dude who is useless and losing to retired YC to become one of the strongest obstacles for Zoro.
King is trash homie. Deal with it.
I'm just saying to you, do you not recognize how any non-Luffy opponent has their portrayal's lowered by virtue of not matching or being whoever Luffy fights?
I'll give you an example, Big Mom. In 2 arcs, BM has been treated second. It doesn't matter how strong she is, it doesn't matter if shes equal to Kaido. In both arcs she's been secondary to Katakuri and Kaido. Do you think Kaido would have ever been rolled around by Robin and Judo thrown by Jinbe? Do you think Katakuri would have ever been trumped by Brook in terms of speed?
My point is, anyone who isn't Luffy's opponent gets reduced to being lesser than his opponent. Katakuri was the main antagonist of WCI. Kaido is the main antagonist of Wano. And Zoro's opponents all have r this effect too. Hachi was clumsy. Mr. 1 nor Ohm lit a candle on strength to Crocodile and Enel. Lucci was twice the doriki of Kaku. Pica was....Pica.
Whatever though process you have behind King's portrayal means nothing, he's not Luffy's opponent. If he's Zoro's, then its in line with who he is, a YC1 with the potential to give a decent fight.
Like I've said before, I would have agreed with your agenda if the story stayed the same as it was between 980-1000, where the 5 Supernova who fought Kaido/BM the 10 chapters after actually intended on fighting Kaido.
1010-1020 has painted a FAR different story. Killer has given up on fighting either Yonko entirely. Kid/Law have shifted focus to fighting Big Mom, and Zoro has yet to utter fighting Kaido again since leaving the roof. This is my point. It's reality. It's not my fan bias. It's literally the story telling me it's the case.
