Eh, its like Enies Lobby. Kaido still has tens of thousands, plus there's CP0.

They fought a buster call. That involved marine captains too and was led by 5 vice admirals. During Enies Lobby a buster call was portrayed to be absolutely unbeatable so the straw hats fighting it at that point in the series was a huge deal. Whereas hear it's just cleaning up fodder that have no commanders to lead them.

For what should be the crew's biggest victory so far in the series, fighting Kaido as a group makes the most sense for how they spend their remaining time in the arc.

Yeah, they're all in way too good condition after winning what should be their most challenging 1 v 1s in the series. They've got another role left to play for sure. Most likely being an Oars style battle against Kaido. The straw hats are going to be the ones to bring the dawn after all so it makes sense that they finish the fight as the literal dawn arrives.

I think Big Mom is more likely, i think WCI was a prelude.
