no we're getting a rocks flashback for sure IMO.

do you notice how even sengoku said that apart from a few oldtimers in the marines, nobody remembers rocks? but roger and whitebeard are remembered? i think rocks didnt get the grand death that roger and whitebeard got. this could be a huge part of kaido's motivation of making sure people remember him after he gets his "grand death" unlike what happened to his former captain.

Which he won't be getting though since he's a "bad" person. He'll die in a country that isn't connected to the outside world so they'll just read about his death in the newspaper.

exactly. but we'll get a rocks flashback so that oda can build that narrative and end it with his pathetic death.

also another thing: we see luffy & big mom claim that they wanna become the king of the pirates. but kaido even though he declared that he wants to find the ancient weapons and the one piece, he has never said he wants to become the king of the pirates.

all he is dreaming of, is to die a honourable, grand death so that people remember him long after he has passed like roger and whitebeard. this is the other part of the theory.

Nah, the context of how he knows about Joyboy is too pivotal to be simply given exposure on panel without a flashback at least. Not to forget that he also stated how he chose Wano specifically because of how special it was and the fact that we didn't see Onigashima at all during Oden's flashback.

and that's just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to potentially all the thing's we have to see that are relevant to him
