Manga logic.
Luffys damage from sanjis attacks was supposed to give weight to tge scene and their fallout/Sanjis conflict.

i like sanji. i dont go and call him equal to zoro when there's tons of proof in the manga against that. he's luffy's top 2 fighters though.

In the first 1000 chapters, the comparison between Luffy and Zoro is completely a gimmick. When there is even a little similarity in this arc, it is infinitely enlarged? Zoro should probably stay here forever so that he can compare with Luffy

Zoro is different from Luffy. He's the man that wants to be the WSS. That means he has to be the strongest. No Straw Hat is just a subordinate. That not how the SH crew is. Luffy understands very well he can't achieve everything by himself. That's one of the major themes that's being pushed.

Claiming Zoro won't return to face Kaido again is nothing but a repeat of Zoro won't go to the rooftop. He will. King is just a tool for Zoro to grow stronger.
