What if the reason sanji can produce fire is because one of his ancestors was part of King's race? If he is only 1/4th or even less, he probably wouldn't have wings.

If someone told me that there actually need to be 9 shadows who fight Kaido, and I have to choose them, my guess would be:

- Luffy
- Yamato
- Marco
- Zoro
- Sanji
- Jinbei
- Franky
- Brook
- Robin

But I don't think that there will be any 9 specific shadows going up against Kaido to fulfil the prophecy. It was probably mentioning the scabbards only.

1. sanji is the person who caught king offguard. there's no way king caught sanji offguard lol. sanji very clearly knew king was coming after him.

2. king was aiming that kick at momonosuke and to kill momo, not sanji. he was not even aware that sanji was there. as mihawk said, only a fool would go all out to kill a rabbit. king's second kick was aimed at sanji and sanji had to use the raid suit + armament to block it.

3. king already had sanji by the throat well before sanji threw momo away.

4. the beak attack did significant damage. sanji was bleeding the very next panel we see him. stop acting like sanji himself didnt say that he would die. and no, that isnt sarcasm. luffy would never react that way to the beak attack if sanji was being sarcastic.

From the Spoilers, looks like Queen beat up Sanji then went on to join King to clear the floor.
Marco tried to stop them but was too tired from fighting King.
Sanji then tries but gets tossed aside, which means he couldn't even fight.

Sanji hits Queen then Queen somehow gets back to attacking Marco seems weird. Did something happen to Sanji after he kicked Queen?

Looks like Marco's Regen limit is around 3 hours, same as when he was on MF. Here, it looks like he got pushed more than MF. His final statement about being done could be sarcasm though because as he made the Statement, Zoro was breaking out of the bandages

It's not leagues, King fought Marco the whole time then proceeded to speedrun the live floor in base form without even drawing his sword and made Marco tired, while Queen is tired from fighting chopper then Sanji in hybrid, King can low to mid diff Queen just like How Zoro can low to mid diff Sanji, it's officially canon from the spoilers after Sanji got negged another time by base King.

the 9 shadows are the scabbards. This was made clear. It said “you will know the brilliance of the dawn”. The dawn is luffy and the shadows are the scabbards.

People misunderstood the prophecy it has nothing to do with anyone but the scabbards. It never said 9 people beat kaido.
