He's the captain because he recruited all the others. Zoro doesn't use Nami to soften his enemies or a long lost brother to carry him. He never has another Straw Hat finish the fight for him.

Maybe because he fights tremendously weaker opponents than luffy

Sanji was shown to be out of his depth in front of king and queen, if they got defeated that only because of zoro.

Yeah teleport, but the same doesnt need to count for Hawkins abilities too. The restriction could be still the defence of hawkins himself.
