I have so many favorite Luffy and Zoro moments. But I love the juxtaposition of the island's setting, Zoro's distrust of the whole situation, and Luffy's philosophy of why wait for adventure when you can just go looking for it!

Don't lie Zoro, you were curious about the island as well! A possible trap is still a challenge!

Finally, I really liked Luffy's Thriller Bark outfit. The orange vest was a good choice.

I still say Usopp is Luffy's best friend. However, Luffy and Zoro have a bond that transcends just being best friends.

Love that Luffy and Zoro had insane coordination right of the bat and it has only improved throughout the series.

They have the best understanding of each other imo. I remember the scene during Buggy vs Zoro, when Zoro understands what to do just by looking at him.

I don't think any other character understands Luffy the way Zoro does. Luffy and Zoro also connected on a level where they emotionally understand each other as well.

My onigashima Luffy Zoro figures finally arrived yesterday

I love how Zoro is mostly stoic. Luffy is the only one I can remember who has brought out the most emotion him, whether anger, happiness, fear or pride.

Zoro definitely seems to have the most trouble expressing his emotions. Luffy has been a good influence on him in that regard. I love how Luffy isn't afraid to show his emotions to others.
