We would love to hear any feedback or suggestions you might have. Like, perhaps you have some idea as to how the Mafia section should operate or how things should work? If you have any concerns, questions, or ideas, let us know here in this thread!

Feel free to voice your opinion and we promise that we will consider your input. However, please do avoid derailing the thread with off-topic posts.

Good thread. I haven't found anything, all I could suggest maybe is some stricter activity punishments, for those that refuse to play games or get inactive/subbed/modkilled too frequently. Stricter in a sense to issue them more frequently, but no hard bans that span over a half season or so.

There should be an updated Player Stats thread.

For example:
1. Showing player's average Post in one game : x/cycle
(this is mostly like their post rate during the game)
2. Showing player's average Contribution in the game : x/game
(this is mostly like their contribution to other players during the game, Host/Coach can give the value)
3. Showing their status: Current warning received and details the warning or punishment and until when the warning/punishment is off.

And lastly, Mafia must be able to have its own section separate from the Multiverse section.

And maybe also some fun bio for each player, like : Kill list, Best/bad/silly moment, Favorite roles, Favorite games, Favorite players and etc

@Dragomir @AL sama You will have a lot of homework for doing this, right? 😂😂

Create a thread for Off-site Mafia Games.

The promotion of Worstgen Mafia will help in increasing players traffic. I'll give you an example of Mafia Universe a mafia forum that employs a variety of promoting strategies, all of which aim at improving the forum and their mafia and they are probably the biggest community. So, basically to disseminate information about worstgen to a bigger level, promoting the section might just do it.

If our fear is that our players will leave this forum then we should be confident about our mafia section, if players are abandoning this forum to settle on different forums to play due to promoting then it means there is something wrong with our mafia section which we need to look at, maybe the environment, a bad player base(i didn't mean that), maybe something else.

Each of these things will contain a way for WG mafia section maturation. I mean our goal is to create and strengthen bonds between different mafia players and to do that you have to also give them a hand.

This will allow more players to spread the word of the WG mafia, which results in more members becoming interested in joining this forum. And if these new people liked our environment they will become our marketing agents when they start asking their forum mates to try playing mafia here.

In all honesty, we already doing this, the difference is that it's not in open but one of the key reasons for the WG mafia section immense growth. People use discord, private chat, and or whatever they can to promote the WG mafia. So, giving members authorization to promote openly will give them a smooth transition.

I am creating a poll for people to decide whether they agree with the idea of promoting off-site games or not and our Admins @Bogard and @Pantheos can take the final judgment.

This cross promotion is how I wound up playing some games here, and full disclosure, I do have a site of my own that Ive asked if players from here want to play on.

I'd have no qualms about recommending here as a place to play either in private or on my site, and I think the points about being secure in what your section expects and offers are very pertinent. Ultimately mafia is a niche hobby, and the stronger the ties between communities and their players, the more flexibility we will have to keep providing and playing games that everyone can enjoy.

Asking people to play at x and y privately is fine, it's done here and on other forums, as well as discord. But advertising is against forum rules

I agree with the above, we should allow ppl from other sites to promote their games. Perhaps we can put a mechanism in, however, that they must have played (and finished) a minimum amount of games on this forum?
