Add Katsuhiro Otomo(Akira)
Ikki Kajiwara/Tetsuya Chiba(Ashita no Joe)
Go Nagai(Devilman)
George Morikawa(Hajime no Ippo)
Inio Asano(Punpun)
Shirou Masamune(Ghost in the Shell)

I have more names but these are pretty famous so i think everyone will accept.
I can only add one of those. The maximum number of poll options is 25.

For me it has to be Naoki Urasawa. I think both Monster and Death Note are amazing, and I actually think DN is a tad bit better, however Urasawa has other manga, that are better than Platinum End, and high level consistency and amazing delivery.

Monster is a masterpiece. Johan is legitimately one of the best characters ever created.

Obata and Ohba are in 2nd place, probably tied with Miura.

The rest are interchangeable imo to some degree, with probably Gege being at the top followed by Fujimoto.

I haven't read any of the works of Inoue and Togashi tho.

That's a good choice, I'd prob pick Urasawa myself if Inoue didn't exist since both his works were as good as they get, I'm actually the same in the sense I enjoyed DN more but that's more because of its over the top style which was peak entertainment, but idek if I can say it's better than Monster. The tiebreaker between Urasawa and Inoue would be the art though, at the end of the day manga is a visual medium and Inoue absolutely dominates in that department. There's also the fact that someone made a feel good shonen sports manga which got to the #1 spot in Jump, then turned around and created a historical samurai manga with just as much success, if he didn't exist I wouldn't believe it could be done.

You should check out vagabond.

I think when I factor in everything, from the story to the enjoyment, DN is a tad bit better for me. Objectively looking at it, Monster's story is as good as, if not slightly, better than DN, mostly due to the small decline in part 2 of DN. Monster, while a masterpiece, and other Urasawa works, are a slow burner imo. Death Note is full on action almost every chapter, and the entertainment and enjoyment levels are pretty high. Not to say Monster isn't enjoyable tho.

I have seen Vagabond art and I have to say it's absolutely amazing.

Yeah that is an amazing accomplishment. For instance, I brought up Ohba and Obata creating Platinum End. It's not so different from DN. Like a mix between DN and Mirai Nikki lmao.

The main char has clear resemblance to Light and L.

It's on my list. Shame I never got round to it. Both it and Slam Dunk. Same for Togashi's works. The thing that mostly deterred me from HxH is the hiatus jokes lmao.
