Speculations Blackbeard Pirates backstories

#1
How do you imagine the backstories of Blackbeard's crewmates before they met Teach for the original members of the crew or went to Impel Down for those who were freed by him during ID arc ? What do you think they were doing before that ? What crimes and destruction the ID prisonners may have caused during their free time as criminals ?

I still don't get IT why from nw BB returned to chopper's island. There must have been some 100 million pirate he could captured and send to wg even in nw.

Maybe he went there for poneglyphs or to search for a crew. Burgess story seems similar to Zoro, he just looking for fights to get stronger. The ID guys got taken out and send to ID, but by who? Maybe IT will reveal that the admirals beat and captured them, Like akainu and kuzan, kizaru, garp?

Currently, i can only think of the backstory of few Blackbeard pirates. it may contain some of my headcanon though.

Marshall D. Teach :
He's the son of the late Rocks D. Xebec and his wife, a Marshall woman. the Marshall D. family were part of a royal family who once were part of the Ancient Kingdom that's ruled by Joy Boy, but they seeked power and tried to not only destroy the Ancient Kingdom, but the 20 allied kingdoms led by Im as well. 800 later, Xebec found the Marshall woman in a snow island and married her. after the battle of God Valley and the disbanding of the Rocks crew, Blackbeard and other Marshall members survived and hid in a Grandline island. Blackbeard became an orphan and was left in a random island where Whitebeard found him. Blackbeard was inspired by the duel between Roger and Whitebeard, he wanted Whitebeard to achieve Roger's greatness, but after seeing that Whitebeard wasn't as ambitious as Roger was, he decided to set sail and seek greatness himself. albeit in sinister way.

Shiryu :
Being one of the six major family names ( Uzuki, Shimotsuki, Kozuki, Fugetsu, Kurozumi and Amatsuki ) the Uzuki Family were composed of fearsome master swordsmen. they had a long record of hostile relations with the Shimotsuki Family. the Uzuki had many high grade Meitos, and Uzuki Shiryu's Raiou, one of the 12 supreme blades, was considered the treasure of the Uzuki family itself. however, due to Shiryu's excessive, murderous violence against other Wano natives which brought shame to the family, he was exiled by the Shogun from the entire country. Shiryu managed to leave the borders to join the world government, and after seeing his immense strength and brutality, they gave him a high position as one of the Impel Down's wardens.

Avalo Pizzaro :
According to Vivre Card, he was ruling a kingdom in the North Blue. in my opinion though, he was once the supreme ruler of the North Blue. an arrogant, corrupted overconfident, powerful man who not even Germa want to mess with. Avalo possesses the Nemean Lion mythical devil fruit, he single handedly destroyed the Germa forces, rejected the heavenly tribute for the world nobles in exchange for protecting his country ( believing that people should actually pay him instead ) and even declared war on the world government. due to his crimes, twisted ruling methods and his people's disdain towards him, they made a pact with the WG and CP0 behind the scenes to dethrone him, liberating their country from his horrible rule once and for all.

Van Augur :
The "supersonic" Van Augur was an excellent marksman who was born and raised in the East Blue just like Yassop. since his childhood, the Vivre Cards reveal that he's the "voice of reason" among the Blackbeard pirates. despite his calm personality, the Vivre Cards states that he's an extremely cold-blooded person who doesn't hesitate to pull the trigger. his rifle "Senriku" has an extremely long range and high velocity, able to shoot targets from far away. i believe Van Augur and Yassop knew each other long ago and both left the east blue to search for a worthy challenge in the grandline.

San Juan Wolf :
He was born in a giant island in West Blue. according to Vivre Card, he consumed a devil fruit that increases his size. in my opinion, Wolf was exiled from his village since the normal sized giants ( especially those who live outside Grandline ) didn't know what devil fruits really are. they thought Wolf was cursed. hence he managed to reach the Grandline, and later into Impel Down.

I can't think of a proper backstory for Burgess, Devon, Doc Q, Vasco Shot or Laffitte for now.

I bet Van Augur used to be a Marine. I have no real reason to think this, nor do I have any proof to that end, but he just feels like someone who wanted government approval to shoot whoever he desired, then left when the organization no longer suited his needs.

Brings back 2015 nostalgia where most of my theories were bullshit headcannon lol

Note that all BB pirates(minus the ID recruits) are heavy believers in fate.

Jesus Burgess
-An undefeated champion who was banned from all underground fighting tournaments(we know there are underground arenas thanks to Ideo) for his brutality and for being too strong. BB beat Burgess in a fight and made him realize that the entire world is his stage and he can reach greater heights.

Doc Q
-A dark version of Hiliuk. Purposely made people sick to test his cures and treatments. Those who didnt make it were deemed unlucky, which stems from the fact he was unlucky enough to acquire an incurable disease but lucky enough for it not to be fatal. Made BB sick who was able to full through. Another fated encounter.

Van Auger
-Shown to have a sadistic side when he smiled after shooting at Ace, Auger just loves to hunt things for his bloodlust. His constant shooting eventually lead to his incredible marksmanship. Was forced to leave his hometown for periodically shooting innocent people. Meeting BB gave him a chance at piracy under a strong individual, where he can shoot things whenever he wants.

All ID recruits committed crimes so bad they had to be erased.

Shiryu
-From one of the 5 families of Wano, has great synergy with his cursed weapon that craves blood. After being chased out from Wano for murder, he played it smart and found a job that will easily allow him to satisfy his bloodlust, that being a jailer for thr largest prison in the world.

Avalo Pizarro
-A king in north blue and based off Vlad the Impaler. Vlad requently had people executed and mounted on stakes, a lot of times the victims impaled on spikes while still alive hence his nickname. Vlad would also force people to eat the remains of their families. Yeah...very gruesome stuff along with blackmail and extortion.

Catarina Devon
-Judging from her name, nickname and design, murdered lots of women she deemed beautiful by way of decapitation. The murder rate was very high which had to be erased.

Vasco Shot
-An aimless murderer when drunk. Vasco is a Fishman who control the water in people's bodies including alchohol. Left town after town a dehydrated pile of corpses that always started from bars.

San Juan Wolf
-A drawf or midget who gained a complex from bullying. Upon obtaining a devil fruit, became the largest creature on the world and took out his anger by stomping out kingdoms, building up that kill streak.

I think Florian Triangle Monsters are way bigger , they completely dwarfed Thriller Bark , which in turn completely dwarfed 67 m Oars ( and San Juan isn't exactly 3 times taller than Oars )

Golem Pica could be bigger as well , Hajrudin is 22 m and ......
Other than Florian Triangle Monsters and Golem Pica ..... i can't think of any creature that could be bigger than San Juan , other than Sea Kings that appeared in FI , and Sea Kings who appeared in Calm Belt ( when Strawhats about to enter Reverse Mountain )

Oh yes . Laboon maybe ? that means Whales that Strawhats met when about to resurface in New World could be bigger than San Juan as well

San Juan is EOS Chopper's fight imo .
Post automatically merged:

Damn FI Sea Kings' sizes are extreme . their teeth are bigger than 12 m Shirahoshi

Sanjuan Wolf
-A giant that was constantly bullied for being the shortest of all the giants in Elbaf. At one point in his life he steals the national treasure of Elbaf, the Giant-Giant fruit so he can become the tallest in the world and have his revenge on all the giants. After he ate the fruit, he killed many giants and even nearly destroyed Elbaf's capital before being captured by the marines and immediately sent to Impel Down.

That was mostly to show Blackbeard's effect on the world. The Strawhats sail down the Grand Line and solve problems and save people, get rid of bad actors, restore islands back to peaceful civilizations. In Pedro's words, the Strawhats are the Dawn of the world.

Blackbeard is an agent of chaos, as denoted by his very first appearance. The darkness swallows everything and destroys it before spitting it back out in place. He left Drum Kingdom in a disorderly state, even though Wapol did need to go. He wiped out Banaro Island in a duel with Ace. He released everyone in level 6 and turned Impel Down into a true nightmare. He finished off Whitebeard in Marineford and then after that turned his attention to destroying anything left of Marine HQ.

If Luffy is the light, Blackbeard is a force of darkness. Ironically, or rather intentionally, his second power is the Gura Gura which is only good for destruction. Blackbeard has the potential to flip the world on its head and remove a lot evil pirates or corrupt WG ruling structures just like Luffy, but he doesn't replace things with anything better. The situation remains just as bad if not even worse than before he got there. That's what you would expect from the journey of an evil Luffy.
