King's placement here is odd because he isnt seen in the same light as other 5(Kaido, WB, Roger, Shanks, Mihawk).
However, considering that Oda has been intentionally secretive about King, it isnt too wild if he is greater than expected.
However, that needs to be confirmed and so far, nothing places him on the same pedestal.
One thing he has going for him is facing Zoro and doing better than Kaido against him.
The issue is, everything Zoro-related is downplayed even with evidence so you know what you can expect for things without evidence...
Even if Oda himself would say that King is comparable to the other 5 candidates, Anti-Zolo Pirates would still use their headcanons.
However, it is not too late for King to prove that he is worthy of being listed with those you mentioned.
Him and Kaido going to MF and facing RHPs is a good start if Oda expands on it.
If King split the sky with Shanks, some people would piss their panties. :yasu:

I understand but there are plenty of people to challenge King's strength while there arent many to challenge Roger and Shanks.
Talking regardless of titles. You are singling out King based on non-humans which I think Oda didnt do with Kaido.
He is the strongest, the 1vs1 king, not just among non-humans. You can see why King is looking pale that way.
Another thing is that I dont think Oda wanted to do it like 3 different groups - creatures/humans/swordsmen but he rather made 3 unique WSx titles for 3 different eras. He could have called Kaido WSM now, there is nobody to dispute the title but it would be identical to WB's title who ruled in era before Kaido's. Once Kaido dies, Mihawk will be the strongest and can be called WSM but again, not a unique title.
