Character Discussion Why didn't Akainu protest the end of the war?

#41
Lmao akainu is the guy who blew up an entire ship full of innocents so not a single enemy to the WG would get away. The idea that he thought the goal was achieved is nonsense.

Based off...what?

Sengoku also said WB could destroy the world, but I'm pretty sure he didn't mean literally...
Pretty sure other canon sources confirm he can actually do it.

The Vc does.

Since the marines had the advantage and would have destroyed the red haired pirates why didn't Akainu, the most militant of the marines utter a word of complaint?

We have seen admirals be insubordinate before.

Aokiji defied the wg because he didn't want akainu to lead.
Fujitora defied Akainus orders to kill law and luffy.
Green Bull defied Akainus orders to remove Fujitora from Mariejoa.

Garp defied the admiral status because it would put him in service to the CDs.

Why didn't Akainu even give a slight protest?
Cause Akainu is still required to follow his orders. He killed a soldier for deserting his orders previously, no way he's gonna backtrack at that moment. It's just not like him. :myman:

Besides, it was still too early for Shanks to die. :milaugh:

No. Sengoku recommended it.

Not the marines. One guy. Most of the higher ups in the WG supported Akainu.

Aokiji was being insubordinate.
it was never shown that aokiji protested against akainu, and akainu did not become the FA until he proved that he was the strongest marine

So it seems you’ve never been part of Tha Military or a Gang, there IS a chain of command that has to be followed. Not following can have dire consequences(Jail/Expulsion/Fine/Death) and you expect Akainu(a life long military man who was aiming for Fleet Admiral status to jus openly, blatantly and publicly go against tha chain of command and disobey tha standing fleet Admital after he’s been in that position for decades…….

Plus Shanks walked in like Omar from the Wire and Akainu nopped out

Cuz he would have died. He was in no shape to take on shanks and by some miracle he somehow did win garp might have still killed him. He's been mostly a loyal soldier so him heavily protesting sengoku's order wouldn't really happen. On top of this the Marines had already won and killed wb and ace with Luffy at death's door with a mortal wound.

Actual canon material backs up he can destroy the world. How this is possible isn't known but arguing against it is denial of facts
The reasoning I'm 'denying' the claim is because it isn't specified how WB could destroy the world. Seemingly not literally. I always assumed Sengoku meant WB could push the WG into peril with the Gura Gura no Mi.

Like mentionned 8n another thread, Akainu is a soldier and the best one at that and what does a soldier do ? Follow orders.
In the case of Aokiji, we don't know what happened, he may very well be a double Agent working/leading ''swords'' which is more likely than becoming evil and working under BB.
Fujitora defying Akainu isn't a good thing as it shows he is NOT a ''good marine'', we readers know it is a good decision but in a professional sense of the term it is not.
Greenbull ''defying'' the order is of no consequence and is more of a ''calculated risk''.
Garp's decision is also purely selfish and stupid since it was taken, officially, for the bad reasons.
