What makes Sanji close to Zoro in power? The dude tanked a presumably non coated attack from Queen and that's about it. First he needs to prove his durability is even on King's level and his attack has been a lackluster compared to Zoro's on the rooftop. Not to mention Zoro's astounding barrier haki output, combat speed, endurance, look at what he accomplished on the rooftop, Sanji is smart to assume Zoro can kill him, he definitely wields the AP to.
